The breakfast was excellent, good variety of dishes, but what made it great was the staff, after a couple of days they remembered my name and my preferences. The manager, Joseph did an outstanding job.
It was beyond their control, there was construction with heavy machinery going on at all hours of the day and night. They need more staff in the evenings, as the restaurant and bar gets really busy. One evening, the restaurant had to close, but they reopened in the AM, however, they should have notified the guests.

There was 24/7 construction going on so I didn't sleep for 3 nights, then one of the nights I didn't have hot water, another night water started pouring through a light in the cieling that was allegedly because the person above me dumped a lot of water on the ground.

The location is super. Room quiet & sturdy. Staff could not be better. Spectacular. Able to get Vegan selections in the restaurants. Surprising extras like 2 bottles of spring water free each day. Security great. Taxis cheap, history abounds. Near the first cinema/movie theater in all of Africa, and a lot of other firsts to be proud of. Cheaper than at home for the days; affordable.

Room cleaning is satisfactory, however, I noticed a bad odor emanating from the bathroom. The breakfast selection was not impressive, and there was a lack of early morning salad options. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't up to par, and the coffee was served cold. I would not recommend the breakfast.
The manager and waiter do not provide adequate service, treating guests differently. I have observed preferential treatment for certain patrons, who receive attentive service, while others, like myself, are seemingly ignored. The staff appears busy but lacks substantial tasks, merely going through the motions.

Overall good value for the price paid.
Position; plenty of the city's sights are easily and quickly reachable.
Bothersome noises all over, from lounge loud music on the 13th floor (mind that we stayed on the 6th floor) to outside ongoing construction works.

The room was comfortable. They had a hot water maker for making tea. The breakfast was on the top floor and had great views and a variety of food options. There were enough options for vegans.
The gym and sauna were under renovation, so they were not available.

The welcome and availability of the staff.
The french frie served at the 13rd floor for the diner was like it was recycle. Improvement need at the kitchen. The food at the Restaurant (13rd floor) was not good mostly the breakfast. There is a need to improve the quality of the service for the breakfast.

Poor location. Unsafe - was mugged! Lots of load construction going on 7 days a week. Got home to find that I had been triple charged for meals and accommodation. Upon calling hotel they said nothing could be done now. I’m out an extra unbudgeted hundreds of dollars.
