We booked Elilly Hotel specifically because it advertised a free airport shuttle, but the shuttle seems to exist only in theory. I never received confirmation of our booking, so I emailed the hotel a day before our arrival to arrange the shuttle. No one replied. After a long flight, with no way to contact them, we landed only to realize they had completely ignored us.
I tried calling the hotel’s phone number six times at 10 pm with no answer. Messaging them on WhatsApp also went ignored, even though they read it. We had to arrange a ride through Yango, but once we left the hotel’s Wi-Fi, we had no way to locate the driver. We ended up wandering the parking lot in the dark while being followed and harassed by taxi drivers. This entire ordeal could have been avoided if the promised shuttle actually existed.
When we finally arrived, I asked why no one responded, and the staff simply shrugged and changed the topic.
The room we were first given was unbearably hot like a sauna. There is no air conditioning. Our booked room was supposed to include a balcony, robes, a sitting area, and carpet, none of which were present. We immediately asked for a different room.
The staff said no rooms have AC but offered a complimentary upgrade to another suite across the building. This suite was much larger and actually matched the photos of the room we originally booked, including a balcony and couch. It was not an upgrade, it was the room we had already paid for.
The room itself had many issues. Only one bath towel and one hand towel were provided for two people. There was no floor mat for the shower. When we requested more towels, only one extra was brought.
The shower was extremely difficult to use. The handheld showerhead cannot be used because the tube is broken and water only comes out of the faucet. Even if it was functional, the showerhead tube is too short to reach the wall holder which is a major design flaw.

Wonderful
very convenient to UNECA. Just a 2 mins walk. Very quiet and amazing breakfast. The complimentary steam and sauna was amazing!

the staff was excellent throughout, from the reception to the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was wonderful - lots to choose from.
When I arrived, many of the staff remembered me from my previous visit and said "welcome back!" which surprised me since it is a large hotel and they receive many guests.
With help from one of my friends, I hosted a surprise birthday dinner party in the 10th floor restaurant. The staff did a great job with the meal and the cake, and the hotel even provided a complimentary band to add to the evening.
The bathtub was frightening and it had no shower that one could stand under. I wondered who could have designed such a thing and what his punishment had been. The acrobatics necessary to try to get clean weren't worth the energy one had to use so I ended up just using the sink to wash..

The hotel allowed us to check in early (10:00 am) and check put later (7:00 pm) with no additional charge.
The room manager arranged for me to visit a hospital clinic over food poisoning (not from the hotel) and provided free transportation back and forth. I was highly impressed.
