Nice swimming pool and breakfast was really good
I paid over 400 for 4 nights and I got room 112 in the bottom corner opposite the bowls area very small dark room and depressing room to be in NOT A GOOD STAY .

Really good price for stay , nice staff :) amazing rooftop pool love it .
My card from room didnt work coupled times , so i did need to go to reception and reset the card , this happened several times and found that quite irritating. Also there was some builders doing job which they started quite early. Super noisy.

The meals, the staff and the overall hotel is ok.
The pool is boring for the kids, mainly since no toys are allowed in an empty pool ! The bathroom was dirty and smelly, we bought our own cleaning stuff and deep-cleaned the bathroom, all smell and dirt was gone ;-(

Hotel was very comfortable & good value for the price. We did breakfast which was excellent, great variety & plenty of food. Staff were very welcoming.
Room a bit on the small side but was adequate for time we spent in it. Bed was very large & comfortable. Loads of sunloungers around the pool. We had a great balcony which got the evening sun
They are renovating 3 floors of one of the blocks around the pool (I understand this has to be done at some stage). The very loud noise of kango drills/hammers etc all day was very annoying Perhaps they should have noticed us in advance of this work.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed in (after Labranda in Malta). It is 3 stars, but easily you could give it 4 stars. We are now at Alua Atlantic Golf Resort which is 4 stars, but the rooms are not as good as Catalonia. Even the main pool is smaller. The rooms are clean, spacious, with the biggest bed and biggest shower. The breakfast amazed us, it has everything you want and more. British and continental breakfast, all types of breads, cereals, they have scrambled eggs and crepes stations that makes them to order. Even Cava (spanish sparkling wine). The staff is also nice and friendly, with shows and mini disco in the evenings. 10/10, would recommend.

the 11th floors view of the volcano and the golf area was very nice from the balcony, also the shower and everything provided seemed high quality and taken into consideration. AC worked no problem

Rooms were clean as was the pool area. Restaurant food was also nice, with a good selection.
The room furnishings were worn and tired, with mouldy sealant in the bathroom.

Had an upgraded room which was 2 rooms with 2 beds in each room a bathroom in one and a toilet and wash basin in a room the size of a bathroom. Aircon in both rooms, I was supposed to pay 3 a day for the safe but reception let me have it for free, there was a balcony along the side of both rooms with 4 chairs and 2 tables, a fridge and a tv, Excellent. The staff were friendly and it's hard to say anything bad about it. My wife booked the room and got the free upgrade and breakfast with her genius points. Paid 135 for 3 nights and wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. I would definitely stay there again.
I'm going to struggle here, checking in seemed slow as there was a group in front of us of about 20 people which took almost an hour to clear, perhaps if this process could be made quicker somehow but I realise that things have to be done., nothing to do with the hotel but the lucky lucky me offering to sell you drugs all the time. The main lights didn't work in our room but it didn't matter as there was lights at the side of the beds and I never reported it so it couldn't have mattered that much. Great hotel.

The location was great, close to the athletics track, beach, Siam park and Mall and local shops and restaurants. Very happy with the location. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of options to choose from and tasty and great staff.
No milk alternatives for coffee at breakfast and no kettle in the hotel room. Fridge not very cold.

The whole hotel felt very tired and worn..
The room was very dated and the bed was soo close to the TV cupboard to be able to pass the bottom of the bed to get to the window..
