We had a very negative experience during check-in. Although we arrived on the morning of October 5th, our booking started on October 4th—meaning our rooms should have been paid for, guaranteed, and ready immediately. Instead, the receptionist told us she needed to check if rooms were available and that we might have to wait until 3:00 PM. This caused unnecessary panic and frustration; she could easily have verified our reservation silently without making us worry about rooms we had already paid for from the previous night.
Although we booked suites and were escorted to the "VIP check-in" area, we saw no actual benefits. There was no welcome drink, nor any special treatment to speak of.
Furthermore, despite booking weeks in advance and requesting adjacent rooms, our request was completely ignored. We were placed in rooms at the far end of long corridors on two completely different floors, requiring an inconvenient walk every time.
To top it off, when we requested a late check-out for even just one room for an extra hour, it was flatly rejected without any flexibility—despite our lost check-in time from arriving late the day before. Overall, a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

Overall, I had a good stay. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the room service was very good and fast. The bed was very comfortable, and I also enjoyed having a balcony. The location is good and convenient.
Parking was easy to find close to the hotel and was free of charge. Parking directly outside the hotel entrance is available for an additional fee of around €40.
There were a few downsides. I asked about a late checkout, but the hotel charges €30 for each additional hour, which I found quite expensive.
Breakfast was quite basic and was almost the same every day during my stay, with no noticeable variation.
The pools were also quite shallow.
Another issue was noise from nearby rooms. Sound carries quite easily, and some guests were very loud, especially during quiet hours, which affected my comfort and sleep. I understand that this may not be entirely the hotel’s fault, as the main issue was the behavior of other guests, but better soundproofing could definitely improve the experience.

The hotel is stylish and comfortable, and the facilities are generally good. I especially appreciated having access to a shower room after check-out. The reception team the following day were extremely professional, friendly and helpful—thank you very much to them.
For almost €500 per night, I expected a much higher standard. The breakfast was quite ordinary, and the coffee quality was particularly disappointing—it tasted like the cheapest available option. Service from the waiters on the terrace was also very poor.
The reception staff during check-in did not seem very professional, although the team working the following day were excellent. The hotel does not have its own beach and is rather far from the main attractions. In my opinion, it is best suited to guests coming mainly for the casino; for a regular leisure trip to Marbella, it may not be the most convenient choice

This is the second year in a row I've stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella and both visits have been fantastic and memorable. It's a great location and only a short walk to local restaurants and the port in Banus. The room was spacious and the bed is extremely comfy. The bathroom has a really good walk-in shower and a double sink. The swimming pools are so much fun and although the pool area gets busy they are never over crowded. On both visits there has been a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The bar inside the hotel was welcoming and again never got over crowded. I never made it for breakfast but I was told it was good. It's not a cheap hotel but I think it offers value for money.
There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.

Great hotel with a fantastic atmosphere. This was my second stay here, and once again it was a wonderful experience. The poolside ambiance is relaxing and enjoyable, the staff are welcoming, and the breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice.
The only issue was a mild but recurring vibrating noise coming from the ceiling, apparently linked to the air-conditioning system on the fifth floor. It occurred every two or three minutes. We reported it, but unfortunately it did not seem possible to resolve during our stay.

The staff was the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I was shocked since Hard Rock Hotel staff are usually so nice in other countries. They do not get back to you if you call reception, they did not come to clean the room, they were so lazy when asked something of them.

The hotel is nice but staff aren't, the hotel only seems to be affordable compared to the other hotels situated in the area. Felt the money wasn't worth it though.
Didn't like the staff, really noticed this hotel is lovely but some people don't want others to come. When I arrived 1 of the male receptionist thought I didn't have money in my card, i wanted to pay 1 cent pay as you go and their knet machine kept showing my payment is declined, I paid the deposit per day and he was shocked I did have money. What's wrong with these people, at least learn how to fake being professional. The pool restaurant staff were really mean to other people , didn't order by the pool because of their behaviour. When you speak spanish, remember some of us understand and our mothers are latinas. The toilet has a giant sink and couldn't wash my face normally and felt it was too huge?
