The hotel is very new and clean with a nice interior design.
I was disappointed that they had construction going on and nobody told us before our arrival. One pool was closed, I saw and heard construction every day. Construction workers by the pool, in the stairways, ... Gateway to the beach was closed due to construction. I felt they needed to tell me if I wanted to have my holidays with construction noise and incoinvenience.

Stunning Property, the design of every part of the hotel and the property are beautiful it was a pleasure to sit in any area of the hotel whether its the lobby with beautiful wallpaper covered with flowers and birds or the restaurant where every detail is thought through !
Its a challenge to find anything wrong with this hotel!

The breakfast was very good. The service was exceptional, so big thank you to the lovely staff. They made our stay even a bit better! The location was good, but we didn't have to even leave the resort as we had all we needed there.

Great location
As much as we like the Don Carlos and have always stayed here over the years it is no way a 5 star property. The rooms are tired and tatty. There were burn marks in the dressing table, the bathrooms are old and the showers didn’t work well and the baths didn’t drain when full. Needs a lot of money spending on it or reducing to 4 stars and the prices coming down accordingly.
