Wonderful
It was an all-around very good experience and that seldom happens! Location: I was a bit worried about being so smack-dab in the middle of Malaga's touristy Old Town but my room in this lovely old building was super-quiet - only the sound of birds in the morning and a view to the Cathedral bell-tower in the lovely evening light. Standard room was a good size for its price range, and bathroom was huge! Comfortably appointed, comfortable bed and a selection of pillows, yay! Breakfast, which I don't often opt for in hotels as they are generally over-priced, was pretty good too. The real delight was the front-desk staff, especially Lourdes and the gentleman who I forgot to ask the name of (but he'll know as he helped me get my too-many bags to my Uber in Plaza de la Constitucion). Both were knowledgeable, professional, fun and friendly. I'll now return to the Petit Palace whenever I'm in Malaga.
I'd love to have a freshly made omelette instead of scrambled eggs out of a warming tray but, hey, nowadays that's a luxury-level hotel thing in Europe and North America.

Everything. The location was outstanding, close to everything we wanted to see, plus places to eat. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Maybe the best breakfast of our seven other stops. A great recommendation.

The reception team, restaurant and domestic teams were excellent. They were always helpful and informative.
The room was good with an excellent view of the Catédral of Málaga.
The hotel is centrally located only minutes from all the main places of interest in the old town. And the shopping is excellent.
Málaga is a great place to visit and this a great good value hotel in which to stay.

The three balconies were so beautiful. Loved the location, it was such a great spot for accessing everything in the city. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had to get a taxi to the airport at 3:40 in the morning they helped us schedule it and had it waiting for us. The room was clean and spacious. Wish we could have spent more than one night here!

The breakfast buffet was excellent: hot dishes, tons of fruit, multiple juices, and the personnel was extremely attentive. The staff in reception went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional.
The room was very spacious, although it presented some issues (see below). I really enjoyed the iron and stone columns, which gave the room a unique architectural accent (both in the bedroom and the bathroom)
The bathroom was very spacious and very well lit.
First and foremost, the room could use better lighting. It was a first floor room that overlooked an interior patio, so it did not get much natural light. There were basically two led lights on the ceiling, one table lamp, and two reading lights over the bed. Perhaps another set of led lights on the (high) ceiling would add to the room.
A minor issue, but that would help the room, is a redistribution of the furniture to help maximize the (use of) space.

The view of the cathedral is mesmerizing. Location is great, despite being in the very center, it was very quite in the room.
Breakfast was varied, good quality and taste.
The room itself looks and feels dated, the same with the bathroom. Everything is functional but not pretty.
