The rooftop bar is a great spot with amazing views and a DJ at certain times. Like most hotels, drinks are pricey but it's well worth it for the location. The hotel is in a fantastic location by the harbour but also right next to the old town. Staff are friendly and efficient and the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is a big hotel, but if you don't mind that, it is definitely a good option.

excellent location in the center
strong smell of sewage in the bathroom of the room ... but so strong that I slept all night with the window open ... the following morning a maid confirmed to me that the hotel unfortunately has this problem ... the maid sprayed a perfume but after 5 hours the smell had returned.. from a structure like Marriot something like this is not acceptable..

Breakfast was buffet style, but fresh and plenty of choice. Rooms were comfortable with large double beds. Most of the staff members were courteous and polite.
The reception staff were lacking in knowledge of the local transport and were extremely slow in the checking in process. Not a great first impression of the hotel. The staff in the restaurant on the top floor by the pool were not very efficient either - we waited 1.5 hours for lunch, and the order that was served to us was incorrect when it finally arrived! Although I complained to three members of staff at the time, I felt this was not dealt with in the correct manner. Needless to say we went out for lunch each day after that experience.
