I enjoyed this place very much. It had more than I expected for an airport hotel. Wonderful customer service. Good food, and kind service at the restaurant as well. Slept so good.

We booked this hotel at the last minute at 9pm due to our flight to London being canx. We stayed 2 nights whilst BA rearranged our travel. Given the circumstances we found the hotel good and in walking distance of a small town with coffee shops etc. we ate at the hotel in the evening and this was enjoyable. The free transit to and from terminal was a great bonus

It was a perfect last night after a long trip and before a long flight home. The pool area was wonderful to hang out in. Food good.

The hotel was close to the airport it had a free shuttle
Our room was for 2 adults and we were only offered 1 small bottle of water complimentary and charged for the rest. Only one sachet of coffee. Our meal in the restaurant mostly ok.
However I had slow cooked chicken which was dry and inedible for my palate. I didnt eat it, I did let staff know. No response. Charged for a meal I didnt eat, and not offered anything to compensate. This was a so-called luxury hotel. Training needed.
However the soccer team staying were treated like royalty.
Shame on Alameda Airport hotel Melia.

I was waiting for the shuttle bus in the hotel foyer and as I walked out to board the bus he took off. I had to run after him. Luckily he saw me and stopped after my 100 metre dash. He blamed me for not being there on time but I think he could have noticed me coming through the revolving door.
