Location is good
Accommodation is appalling for the price you pay. Facilities are below average. Ambience is non existent. Foyer is a disgusting . Room is very very basic. Overall it is a rough hotel described as a luxury boutique property.

Excellent location, directly opposite Retiro Park, short walk from the Prado. Rooms also excellent, clean, well appointed.
Would have liked better communal facilities, eg nice lounge area for sitting; also seats in Reception area (for when waiting for taxis to arrive etc)

Helpful friendly staff. Great location. Comfortable bed. Varied breakfast options.
No real bar area to relax in. There is a bar but in an unusual space with limited seating. Bathroom sink was more style over practicality.

What did I like? First and foremost, the staff. From the manager Luis to the Toñi at breakfast and everyone in between was just stellar!
Location is absolutely great right across from Parque Retiro and away from the noise yet walking distance to the active Puerta del Sol and Gran Via.
I would stay here again.
While the room itself was comfortable, the hotel lacks the atmosphere you would expect from a property with “Palace” in its name. The hallways and room entrances have a somewhat office-like, almost industrial feel, rather than a warm or elegant ambiance. The property would benefit from updated decor or renovations to create a more inviting and refined experience that better matches its branding.
