Very Good
Great location, close to Metro.
Walk around to experience Madrid.
Ideal for business stay.
Will also stay there for holiday - easy access to Gran Via
Great breakfast.
Not a big deal, but one of my collogues did not have a coffee machine in his room. No spare available.

Disappointing
The location is extraordinary, but the facility is really not up to my expectations. We booked a queen bed + small bed room. It’s more like a dorm not a proper room. The ceiling is too low for three adults to settle in. When we checked in, the room only prepared two shower towels, had to call the reception and ask for the 3rd one. It was also a rainy day, but the hotel run out of umbrellas. The experience is NOT good.
The room and the corridor is so dark and scary during the day and night.

The good part of it is, is only being close to some attractions
The room is to small, it has sloped roof which makes some of the parts not usable, we have to watch our heads all the time to make sure to not bump it, they did not provide any toiletries and one day they did not remove the old towels, in the bathroom there was not any heater to dry out if you wash anything, the heair dryer was attached to the wall in the bathroom and you can not remove it if someone was taking shower you have to wait then go to foggy bathroom to use it, the faucet was bende , the window is to small preventing any light to come inside which makes it gloomy we asked for patio room not expecting being this dark, i asked for hot water from the restaurant they refused to provide they mentioned we provide you small kettle in the room for that reason, the kettle was for old days you can just use instant coffe and when water boils you have to stop it it doesn’t stop automatically, the only good part was breakfast and people serving there

Spacious stunning room, with an enormous mirror, great location, very tidy hotel with new furniture, great breakfast with various choice even with gluten and dairy free which was a great bonus

I liked the comfortable beds, ample space, breakfast spread, and the nice lobby and courtyard. I especially enjoyed how comfortable and cool the air conditioning was during our summer stay. The room was clean, and the bathroom had plenty of space. It’s a 5-18 minutes walk to Mercado Barcelo, Mercado San Anton, Gran Via & Puerta del Sol.

The bathroom for the restaurant was so far - downstairs - alot of stairs and scary when no one around.

The location was prime - not in the very center of the city, but within 15 mins walk from the heart of it. Gran Vía can be easily reached by walk. Puerta del Sol is only 1 metro stop away. Plenty of restaurants and shops and bars around, and much more on your way to downtown.
Bed was comfortable, and rooms were clean.

The hotel is old, and was renovated some time ago.
The noise from the street late in the night is very audible and annoying at times, especially when the nearby restaurants staff throws the bottles into bins for recycling ?
Water was provided only once upon checking in, and later on was at a charge - easily sorted out by one Mercadona supermarket visit (5-7 mins walk down the road). Still was a surprise for us.
The shower kept on leaking, no matter how hard you try to avoid - you end up having floor filled with water
Those are minor flaws, overall experience was very pleasant.
Value for money is great and worth it!

The breakfast staff and food was delicious
There were a few issues with my room. The refrigerator wasn’t working properly and coffee machine didn’t have a top for the water basin. It was rusty inside. Cleaning person took my key which is a security issue.

This hotel is in a beautiful walkable location. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast, and clean and spacious family room overlooking the plaza.
There were vendors in the garden sitting area the entire time, so could not enjoy a peaceful time there as hoped for. It was also booked for a private event. I suspect this makes extra money for the hotel but it completely eliminated a lobby sitting area for guests.
