Location - fantastic, just off the Gran Via. Loads of cute cafes and restaurants nearby. As well as little shops
The staff were all so friendly, and they loved our dogs! The room was on the third floor, really lovely,.spacious, with a balcony, so some street noise (expected being so close to Gran Via) but no internal noise to disturb us. Beautifully clean, eco toiletries and thought given to everything provided in room. Minibar and safe. And they let us store our bags on our departure day after checkout. Thank you!!
Small point but the downstairs entry lobby and seating area (which had a coffee area with nice seating) at times had a very drainy smell which put us off using it. As we had dogs we couldn't go into the breakfast room but also didnt want to sit in that room due to the smell. It didnt spoil our stay but would be good for future visitors if something could be done about it.

The location was perfect. Close to the metro and walkable to most everything. The staff were all extremely professional and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I didn’t like the property. It was so loud even at 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 am it was nearly impossible to sleep.
Far too loud, poor performing elevator, and the staff was unwilling to help with hospitality such as calling taxis. My TV did not work and they showed disinterest in fixing it.

Location was great, but very old and not maintained. Like doorposts, shower and hooks for towels that came apart.
The rooms where not sounds proof, as the balcony doors did not close. Lots of noice at nights, we were forced to provide an email addres to checkin, which is now used for unwanted communication.

Petit Palace Chueca really stands out for its unbeatable central location, right in the heart of Madrid, making it incredibly easy to explore the city on foot. The renovation of the old building has been done with great taste, successfully blending historic charm with modern comfort. I especially liked the entrance area, which feels more like a stylish business center or café than a traditional hotel lobby—very welcoming, contemporary, and functional. The room itself was very comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout, a cozy bed, and a relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after long days of walking around the city. Overall, the hotel feels practical yet elegant, and the attention to comfort really elevates the stay.
While the breakfast was decent, the selection felt quite limited, particularly when it came to bread options. For a hotel of this quality, I would have expected more variety and freshness. Simple improvements—such as offering large, fresh baguettes that guests can cut themselves—would make a big difference and add a more authentic European touch. Expanding the breakfast selection slightly would elevate the overall experience and better match the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
