Very well located for sightseeing and transport. Comfortable room with good amenities.
There was a bit of noise from nearby roadworks (not the hotel’s fault) but a bit irritating.

Location is perfect, right next to Chamartín train station and a short drive to the airport. Breakfast is plentiful and accommodates different dietary needs.
The heater in my room was impossible to control and I’ve encountered several guests in the hallway experiencing the same issue. When we contacted the front desk, I was informed that nothing could be done at that time. Consequently, I had to take cold showers throughout the night to remain in the room even with the heat set to the off position. I had a 24h+ trip the next morning , and a good night sleep was my priority… it was impossible to get any sleep! I requested a substantial refund from the property but only managed to get a $50 credit from Booking. Won’t come back.

front desk staff was excellent when we checked in and checked out
location--walk to Retiro Park in 5 minutes, Botanical Gardens in 10 minutes, 3 major art galleries in 15 mins, central Madrid in under 30 minutes, Atocha train station in 5 minutes, airport by taxi(33 euro, in 30 mins),quieter location than the busy central, touristy area of Madrid, there is major construction right outside the hotel that looks long lasting, ask for an inside room that looks over their lovely courtyard...no noise on that side, rooms, even the "small" one we had was spacious and easy for 2 people to feel comfortable in for 4 days; rooms are modern and bathroom is well designed
rooftop restaurant bar--excellent food and service from our amazing waiter the first night(April 13) and same food disappointing the second night as was the staff who greeted us and served us
breakfast buffet was expensive(23 euro each) but good quality and variety; the staff seemed harried and not eager to do even minor things( like get more spoons when they ran out)
the hallways to the rooms were not in keeping with the rest of the hotel...they were like something that you'd see in a 2* hotel whereas the rest of the hotel and the rooms were at least a 4*; the carpet and the paint need to be updated
- the more disconcerting part was the poor lighting in the hallways at night; we had a long walk to our room from the elevator and it was uncomfortable to walk towards a long, deserted, dark hallway...lights were motion activated

The staff were amazing. I was travelling with recently broken leg after a motorcycle accident. The staff couldn’t not do enough to help and make me as comfortable as possible - including providing me with a wheelchair and delivering me to the railway station on departure. A particular shout out to Daniel on the front desk who was extremely generous with his time to assist.

Convenience and had all amenities needed.
Our power kept going out when we’d use the iron. That caused us to be late twice to two separate reservations but the staff was responsive and tried to fix the issue. This was an upgraded room too :(

Hotel rooms are so beautiful with very contemporary facilities and decor
