We were able to check in early and the wifi was good. The view from the terrace was nice.
Recently having stayed in a number of other Madrid hotels, including a different NH Hotel that was superb, we were very disappointed. The price for two nights was outrageous considering the lack of amenities and size of the room. I would not consider this hotel a 4-star. There wasn’t enough room to fully open our luggage, the desk was so close to the bed it blocked access to the terrace (we had to climb over the bed), and using the main shower-head nearly flooded the bathroom because the drain was slow. There was no coffee maker in the room and when I asked if there was somewhere in the hotel I could get a cup I was told I would have to pay for a full breakfast.

Everything was fantastic! The location is superb, you can easily walk everywhere. It is located in a nice and elegant area of Madrid, really close to everything, there is also a shop, pharmacy etc. close. The hotel is wonderful, elegant, an older building full with history, but nicely refurbished. The breakfast was excellent, so is the restaurant downstairs. The staff is very helpful.
Despite the soundproof windows the street noise could be heard. This is a traffic joint point, the cars are OK, but the ambulance or police cars were running extreme lot. Despite that I could sleep quite well, the beds are very comfy also.

Excellent check in , in English. Single room with balcony snug but comfortable. Easy to use hotel app in ordering room service from the small but excellent onsite restaurant located on the ground floor : made to feel welcome .
Extremely professional staff in all areas .
A wide array of breakfast options in a well appointed dining area. Omelettes and the like ordered directly from waiting staff.
Early morning fixed fee taxi to airport booked ahead at no extra cost , 24 hr front desk service , took a weight of my mind at 3.15 am in the morning.
A few more towels in the bathroom and an extra blanket for the early winter chill .
Wi fi a touch sketchy .

Lovely historic building, very centrally located for galleries and metro. Our room, curved with windows facing the train station was beautiful. The mattress was excellent. the bed was only a standard double but there was plenty of space, comfortable seating, great bathroom. Excellent staff, parking was easy and access by car quite straightforward. Breakfast was a standard buffet, fair quality, decent value. Nice service and food at the restaurant also.

Location was great, near Atocha (to take trains), and had a bus stop right outside. El Prado, Reina Sofia and El Retiro were at a walking distance. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a separation in the room between bathroom, dressing area and the room itself, I liked that.
Just to say something, the closet was a little small
