I have been using Maydrit since 2012. Excellent hotel, perfect/quiet location close to MAD and with easy Metro access to Madrid for sightseeing, shopping etc without having to deal with traffic.
Unfortunately, the breakfast quality has diminished substantially through the years, it now is a pale shadow of what it was in the past. Service quality in the restaurant has fallen as well (had to request a beer 3 times before it finally arrived. To be fair, they were quite busy)

Had breakfast for 3 days, it had something for everyone! It was lovely to see the staff refreshing certain areas.
The pool was far too small, so we couldnt enjoy that. We tried to use the gym aswell but yet again too small and not enough equipment, also we had to change our keys too many times, as they kept failing for us to get inside our room. This does not take away that the staff were lovely and so was the hotel x

Wonderful
Clean air conditioned room with espresso machine and comfortable bed . Front desk staff very kind efficient and helpful ( thank you to Daniel especially) ! Hotel maydrit Airport shuttle to and from airport was such a nice plus . 2 block walk to metro to get to downtown - easy! . Would definitely not hesitate to stay here again .

Overall, we had a good stay, but I can't honestly rate it higher than **7/10**.
The best part of our experience was the **shuttle service**. It was excellent both to and from the airport. The drivers were professional, punctual, and very friendly. The shuttle bus was also very clean, and the entire service was reliable and well organized.
I'd also like to mention that the receptionist was kind, welcoming, and friendly, which made check-in a pleasant experience.
Another thing we appreciated was having full control of the air conditioning in the room. When we arrived, the room was very hot, but we were able to adjust the temperature ourselves. After running the A/C for a while, the room became comfortable, and we really appreciated having that control.
Unfortunately, the room itself had some issues. As soon as we entered, we noticed a strange smell. Later, we realized that the walls looked a bit neglected and appeared to have signs of previous moisture damage. It seemed like there had been water damage at some point that was never fully repaired. We believe the odor may have been coming from that, possibly from mold or the bathroom, although we can't say for certain.
We decided to keep the room because our flight was leaving very early the next morning, so changing rooms didn't seem worthwhile for such a short stay.
I also think the housekeeping team could do a better job cleaning the bathrooms. In addition, some of the rooms that have had moisture issues would benefit from renovation to improve the overall guest experience.
Despite those issues, we still think it's a good hotel and would definitely stay here again. The friendly staff, excellent airport shuttle service, and the ability to control the room temperature ourselves made our stay comfortable overall.

Front desk staff, restaurant, and room were all great. Short walk to a metro station.
Directions for free shuttle from the airport were not easy to follow. I ended up taking a taxi from the airport. I belive the taxi driver was dishonent as he took an unneccesarily long route that took a half hour.
I may not have exercised in the gym but I did look at it. The equipment is so minimal and the room is so small it cannot be honestly advertised as a gym.
