The Emperador is in a fabulous location right on the Gran Via with easy walking access to the whole city center for activity. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant and bar up top offered tremendous views and good food and beverage options.
I have no negative feedback at all about the property.

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, showers were excellent. Location was perfect. TXO taco restaurant next door which is a great place for cheap tacos and margaritas also
Nothing to really dislike, we went in October so access to the rooftop bar was limited and the pool was closed but we knew that before booking. The weather was hot so it was a shame it wasn't available

Great location. Great views from the roof.
Hotel was generally a bit grubby and needs renovation. The beds were uncomfortable and smelled musty.

The hotel was in an excellent location where everything was walkable. The rooftop patio was also excellent for having a drink or two before bed. They also serve food in case you don't want to leave the hotel. The selection for breakfast was good as well. Fresh fruits, traditional cold cuts and cheeses, spanish omletes and churros to name of few. They also have eggs, toast, veggies, build your own yogurt bowl, etc. It was also our honeymoon so they brought us a complimentary sparkling wine to the room but was unexpected and a nice surprise!
We were on the first floor so it was very noisy at nice because we were facing Grande Via. It was also during the weekend of the National Holiday so I suspect more polic and ambulances than usual and that's really what was the problem. Otherwise the typical traffic or people didn't bother us. Also the light in the bathroom kept flickering on and off but we just closed the bathroom door.

Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were very efficient. Location is excellent - very central, restaurants everywhere.
Lifts are quite slow.
