Probably the best maintained hotel I have ever stayed at. Also the housekeeping staff must be ex-military since the way they cleaned the rooms each day was exceptional. Overall, an excellent provisioned hotel. Breakfast was excellent value also.
We got a good rate for a city centre hotel so cannot really complain but there was zero natural light in our rooms (facing an internal courtyard). That said it also meant that the rooms were exceptionally quiet.

I always love how comfortable and spotlessly clean their rooms are! I am extremely grateful that they have actual air conditioning, so I can control the temperature of the room regardless of the season (FYI, many hotels in Europe have either a central heating or cooling ventilation system that the hotel will only switch around when it is officially summer/winter). I also appreciated that each room has a proper closet instead of just pegs on a wall, and a bathroom with a proper solid door instead of the weird modern trend of glass doors or even no doors.
Every day the room is cleaned very well and surfaces disinfected, and amenities stocked. Sometimes they leave a little bag of chocolates by the pillow as a present, though they didn’t do that every night for me. This is a really small thing but I appreciated that one of the cleaners (Jakarta) arranged my stuffed fox toy very cutely on the bed one day!
The rooftop bar is also a nice place to hang out with your friends or family. They have a really comfortable, spacious indoor area too if the weather isn’t good, and both the indoor and outdoor areas are very beautiful.
The staff, especially cleaning staff and food/drink service staff, are very friendly and very good at their jobs. I also appreciate that important notices to guests get posted in the lift, such as planned road closures and bus diversions.
The location is perfect, right in front of a bus stop and only a couple of minutes from Callao metro station. The area is full of shops and restaurants, and is relatively close to places of interest like Palacio Real, El Retiro Park, Prado Museum or Atocha train station by public transport or even walking if the weather is nice.
I had a room very near a lift and an emergency exit this time, which sometimes could get a little noisy as this is used by cleaning staff to get around. It’s not bad though because they are never noisy too late at night, so it’s still easy to sleep.

I've stayed here before and had a good experience so booked again. Location very convenient. Spotlessly clean hotel. Breakfast choice adequate and the majority of staff are nice
Check in could have been better. I arrived at 1am due to a delayed flight. I was travelling solo. The gentleman at reception barely spoke to me, got me to fill in the paperwork and handed me 2 key cards. There was no welcome, no offer of help, no mention of breakfast services for the morning etc I felt like my arrival was an inconvenience. Luckily I've stayed here before so I knew where the lift was and my way around. Once I got to my room neither of the key cards worked to open the door. Thankfully a more helpful member of staff appeared and he got my door open for me. It would have been nice to have been offered something even if it was just a drink of water as the bar would have been closed at this time. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and I would have loved a coffee on arrival.

Rooms are big and clean. The location is very comfortable for tourism and the rooms are not noisy at all despite being in Gran Vía. Great place to stay when visiting Madrid!

Incredible location, close to everything which allowed me to go back and take breaks between a packed sightseeing schedule. The hotel paid a lot of attention to details to all the things that the guest might need. The room was large for European standards. Had an amazing view of Gran Vía. The furniture was in an excellent condition and cute decoration. The room was pristine. The staff was amazing with recommendations on where to exchange money and eat. I travel a lot and this is one of the best experiences I have had.
Nothing. Due to the central location, it could be a little bit noisy during the weekend at night but it did not bother me.
