Disappointing
Location was convenient and central to everything
The staff were not friendly. The man at the front desk didn’t even try to communicate with us. We tried to ask him to type on our phone for google translate, he also refused. He just kept speaking Spanish at us in a snobby way where he refused to engage or even look at us. Then another day the cleaning staff didn’t make up our room when we had left before the cleaning deadline. We alerted the staff that said someone will do so, and then they didn’t do it. Finally the hallways are so noisy and we were woken up by guests/staff talking in the hallways.

Location was easy to reach by metro. Room was clean and had a kettle with coffee, cream, and tea. The check in person was very friendly. They have an elevator to save walking up steps. Our room had a courtyard view and was very pleasant.

Wonderful
The Location was wonderfully located. Hostal Lauria was centrally located in Madrid. There is a small elevator which is convenient with suitcases. The room and bathroom were clean; the beds were comfy and the T.V. was adequate. The staff was lovely and I would recommend Hostal Lauria to all that travel to Marid.
When pulling up to Hostal Lauria the presences of a Hostal is not obvious and a little off putting. We had to double check the address when we arrived. Do not let this inhabit you from entering the building for it is a beautiful well taken care establishment.

If you want to be on the Gran Via, this place is good. In the heart of everything. Room was big. Staff friendly.
Decor is slightly off. as is the lighting (too bright! No one likes White Lighting anymore, that is for hospitals/schools)

Great spot! It’s super close to the Metro, shops, and plenty of places to eat. You'll find Hostal Lauria on the fourth floor once you arrive. The staff are lovely—very warm and helpful from the moment you walk in
While the location is great, be aware that the soundproofing is quite thin. You can hear everything from the rooms, including street noise and ongoing construction work on the floor above.

I felt safe. As a woman traveling alone, i felt completely safe. There was a front desk attendant at all times. The location is EXCELLENT. I had the BEST experience!

Great place in a great location. Great staff and service. Bottles of water and coffee available in the room for free which is rare in hotels. Good value for a great place.
Beds a little hard but it’s fine, the hostal was so cute and perfect.
