The location is great; most attractions are within walking distance, and there are many shops and food stalls nearby.
It was just a bit noisy outside in the middle of the night.

The room is nice and clean but not too spacious. The bathroom is also a bit small. The location is really good, right in the middle of all the shops, restaurants and malls. Easy walking to many points of interest in Madrid. Very close to Sol metro station. 15-20mins walk (without taking metro) to Cibeles bus stop for airport bus. Surrounding area feels safe and lively.

The location was great.
It was very noisy through out the night. I used earplugs and white noise and still could hear music and trucks outside throughout the night. my husband couldn’t sit on the toilet without turning to the side because the bathroom is very small. The women hosts were not very helpful or friendly- we liked the two men who looked us in the eye and helped as much as they could.

The location is excellent. Close to all the fun stuff. It is small, but it is exactly as advertised. They keep the place exceptionally clean and are very friendly. Staff in place 24 hours. We will be back.

The property was very clean, confortable and charming. The location, right iin the center, is unbeatable and makes it easy to move about attrations. The staff is also very kind and helpful. I would certailny recommend Hostal Don Alfonso for a nice stay in Madrid.

Very close to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Also very close to a huge supermarket. I enjoyed a guided tour of the “Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales”, which was right around the corner: thousands of 16th and 17th century portraits and painted murals.
