Terrific location with scenic views of the Palace. Spacious with an extra bonus of a rooof top patio!

Wonderful
The staff were outstanding, including especially the woman who usually worked at the reception desk, and the man who was always available to help with luggage, etc. Also, location was perfect for us—directly adjacent to the Palace and a beautiful plaza. Nice places to eat nearby too.
Elevator was not working for our entire visit. Luckily we were able to move to a room just one flight up stairs.

We stayed in the most inexpensive room in this hostal—an internal room, one without a view. It was affordable, clean, and comfortable. If you can afford a room with a view, though, opt for that choice. The location is pretty and tranquil just near the Royal Palace. Physical comforts were good. The water temperature and pressure was great, the room temperature control worked well. The room was quiet and well appointed (for example, adequate electrical outlets and strong lighting). The breakfast in the cafe on the plaza was exceptionally good.
I wasn’t wild about the memory foam mattress, which I found to be a bit warm, but it didn’t bother my husband.

I have rarely stayed in a hotel I liked this much. The rooms have elegant old world charm blended with modern bathrooms and air conditioning. It sits directly across from the royal palace and next door to the opera house. My room was bright and sunny with a small terrace looking out over the gardens and plaza in front of the palace. The staff could not have been better! Everyone I encountered was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make my stay effortless. Loved it!

The hotel was just across the street from the train station, so very convenient. It was upscale, spacious, and clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was exceptional as was their food if you chose to eat at their restaurant.

Unfortunately lift was broken but someone was on hand to assist with luggage.

Wonderful
Although the elevator was not working, the staff helped me with the luggage. Excellent central location, right in front of the Royal Palace, clean, quiet, and situated in a historic building with wooden stairs.

Booked it at the last moment, and despite that everything was organized perfectly. Amazing location, all you need to see in city center is minutes away. Friendly staff is lovely and helpful

Amazing view of the palace. You feel like a princess!! This is my fave place to stay in Madrid!! Such wonderful staff. Love the bottle of sparking wine and coffee machine with pods.

The room was very spacious and the view of the palace was lovely. The location was easily accessible by metro and it was well connected to the city.
The hot water in the showers is not quite enough if two people want to shower one after the other so you need to be careful with your water usage.
