Wonderful
Stay was very good. The hostal was very clean and quiet. The house cleaning was excellent. The location is very good with easy access to the metro and Atocha station (for Toledo day trip). Excellent communication in the lead up to stay. Also the room stays very very dark because of the window shade, so we slept so well.
Some small nits: - At least in our room the WiFi was basically unusable. Phone would connect and drop every few seconds. - The price definitely felt high, but it still seemed to be good value seeing the other properties I was looking at. Maybe just an expensive week. - One night the hot water dropped out, but it was quickly fixed. Thank you to the staff.

Everything.
A bit pricy but I guess that this is normal for Madrid

Location is great
Its not apparent that the first nights prepayment will be returned and the whole amount will be charged, and prepayment will appear on account god knows when. It is in the interest of customers to not have it this way

It is at the heart of the city. Clean, neat. Our room had a good vibe. Staff was helpful.
Well, first day in Madrid was rainy and it would have been better if the heating worked. But that is a minor issue.

I was provided with everything I needed, even a mini fridge and water boiler! But I was most impressed with the staff, specially with Andrea. She was very professional yet friendly and willing to help. She kept calm and compossed when I thought someone stole an item from my luggage but then later in front of her I founded! I am so srorry Andrea that I made you live an uncomfortable moment.

Excellent location; nice staff; comfortable bed. And, maybe a bit odd: a very quiet refrigerator
The bed is rather small - I'd not advice for 2 tall-ish people

Centrally located near all modes of transportation.
The towels in the room are old and outdated. I suggest replacing them.
