Perfect location in modern downtown of Madrid. Room is incredible clean! A big big PLUS for that! Staff is really helpful.
Maybe a bit too cold in the room. Additional trash can (in the main room) would be very useful.

Its a modest room for couple of nights stay. Vibrant and cosy environment. Cleanliness and private bathroom were well accommodating. The owner/host is Spanish but will try to communicate well and quite hospitable. Few minutes walk from Principe Vergarro and Goya metro stations as well as the Retiro Park. Basic groceries are available round the block and right across the road. Independent keys for easy access to the building and the room.
Common fridge outside, no kitchen facilities at all (no plates, stove, oven etc.), didn't have a bigger dustbin to keep the trash away (maybe host forgot). Mostly a comfortable stay for few nights rest while the bed could have been more comfy (not complaining though). Oh be prepared to charge up your card, my declined and kept messing around where I had to access the property's own link to pay the price, plus upfront cash too (I think it was more of the banking links issue but still worth to mention for you all).

It was a really nice and comfortable stay, the equipment and the design is really nice and newish.
Great location in a quite calm city quarter, yet close to the city center and especially the wonderful big park.
Especially well suited for shorter stays, I'd definitely come back again
Just a little thing to be aware of, please be advised that there are no appliances (except for the community fridge) and no kitchen equipment, so if you just want to spread butter on a slice of bread you run into a problem (or just have to run down to a Ferretería to buy a small knife)

I loved every moment in the wonderful Madrid at Hostal Arco Iris. ? Perfect location, perfect transportation, peaceful, clean and safe area. I loved my room, I loved the building and the whole area. The building is wonderful, and my room was lovely, super clean and very comfortable. ?

The location is very good, in a nice neighborhood close to the Retiro park. The room is very clean and big enough for two people to settle. The staff is kind.
The entrance to the object is a bit complicated if no one is waiting for you at the entrance door, since the staff doesnt speak english.

The payment process before the stay required to pay outside of booking even though I entered my card on booking so it seemed a bit fishy... But that is the process and in the end everything was fine

Cutest little hostal I’ve stayed in yet! The staff have very limited English, but if you’re prepared to use Google Translate or similar, they’ll go out of their way to accommodate your every need. Rooms are clean and well ventilated and heating and A/C is controlled by each individual room. Neighbourhood appears very safe and well connected to public transport (though very walkable to the city centre.) The nearby park is stunning and the hostal is conveniently located near restaurants and grocery/convenience stores.
As is the case with most buildings in historic cities, the soundproofing could be an issue. You rely on the consideration of others to keep noise to a minimum. Could be an issue for some, but during my stay the hostel seemed to have attracted the kind of guest that adheres to hostal etiquette.
