It was the best accommodation I stayed in Madrid. Spacious room, neatly remodeled bathroom, excellent location, friendly gentleman at the desk, everything was satisfactory. They say this is where Hemingway stayed, and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you.

Hostal is in a perfect location in the city centre.
Beds were comfortable . Rooms were spacious and clean. Showers were very good. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day.
Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and we would stay there again. My husband and my son have stayed at Hostal Aguilar before and also enjoyed their stay on that occasion.
It could be a little noisy at night. I could hear tv in another room for example. There was some noise from the street which is to be expected in the city centre. Luckily we had ear plugs which solved the issue for us. Overall a very pleasant stay

The location was excellent and the room was very clean when we checked in.
The WiFi basically did not work for nearly our entire stay. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything happening in the hallway and other rooms. I was woken up at 6am every morning, as well as during the late evening during the weekend. The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful.

Great Hotel, rather a 3 star+ than a 2 stars, but since it did not propose breakfast they may have lost a star (?). There is a great place not too expansive at the corner that opens at 8 AM and others around. It was not an issue. Easy access to 2 metro stations, including the Puerta del sol.

The room was very clean and the place was nice welcoming. It is in a very nice area close to the station and the nice square. Many good restaurants nearby. Enjoyed every moment we spent there and we greatly recommend. Staff was very helpful.
Nothing in particular. But we would have liked to have a kettle in the room even though there was a vending machine in the common area where one could buy coffee and drinks.
