the location of the hotel is good and staff are nice.
PEST CONTROL PROBLEM. I thought I had a nice stay until I developed over 20 bites on my arm and several on my foot and hand. I didn't imagine this was related to the hotel since it is a 4 star Relais and Chateaux so i checked out as usual. However when I returned to my home country, i had to go to the ER as one of the bites got infected and led to a swollen foot. The doctor told me these bites are most probably bed bug bites and one got severely infected. I wrote the hotel and told them I will not file a formal complain only if they ensure they will disinfect the room before having more guests. They assured me that they will and refunded the cost of my stay. However several days later, i developed a severe allergy and had to go back to the hospital. The doctors confirmed it was what they called a delayed reaction to the bites, and that the hives i had all over my body and face were an aftermath of the bites. When I wrote the hotel back about this, with pictures and hospital reports (now 10 days after my initial email) asking for compensation for my hospital bill and proof that all the rooms are disinfected (as i still didnt want to destroy their reputation), the CEO of the hotel wrote me back 2 days later with a pest control report stating that the room had no bugs and wished me good luck with my allergy, completely ignoring the fact that the pest control report came 12 days after my complaint! It says a lot about the quality of the hotel, beyond the pest and hygiene, when the CEO completely dismisses such a complaint despite the overwhelming evidence and the fact that the bites miraculously appeared during my stay, and no such bites/ marks appeared after! I am now pursuing a formal complaint with the Tourism Authority in Spain and equally wish her good luck!

we arrived very late- with no luggage- Ailine left our bas, the staff at the hotel was very sympathetic of the situation. they went above and beyond to help us with our situation with accommodations/ Kudos to the staff!! they go above and beyond!

We had a fantastic stay and truly loved our time at this hotel. The location is absolutely amazing—perfectly situated and ideal for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind, always helpful and attentive, which made us feel at home from the very first moment.
The restaurant deserves special mention: the food was outstanding, beautifully prepared, and a real highlight of our stay. Everything—from the atmosphere to the service—was simply excellent. Amazing vodka :)
Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely come back without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service.

A truly lovely and comfortable hotel with exceptionally attentive staff and beautifully appointed rooms. The bed was hands-down one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and I travel internationally very frequently. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants and major sights. The staff are outstanding: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. Their restaurant recommendations were spot-on every time. An all-around excellent stay.
Food was our only disappointment. I would not recommend booking a room with breakfast, as it was underwhelming and not worth the price. There are far better options nearby. Just across the street, Bendita Locura offers a lovely breakfast or brunch at about half the cost. Overall, the hotel’s food was mediocre, which is a shame given how many excellent restaurants there are in Salamanca. With so many superior choices within walking distance, eating elsewhere is the better option.

Classic old style hotel with an intimate atmosphere and outstanding and very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and clean. Great value and well worth the stay!
A little further away from some of the areas we wanted to visit, but it was a bit quieter as a result and only a short cab drive away.

The hotel was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a luxurious atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and ensured everything was perfect throughout our stay.
For a five-star hotel, I expected the food to be more impressive. We ordered vegetable soup but received beef consommé instead. When we asked if there was soup available, the staff initially said they needed to check, a hotel of this level should always have soup on the menu. The salad and chicken sandwich were good but the portions were very small, and delivery took quite a long time considering the portion size. Also, breakfast should have more milk options, offering just soy and regular milk feels a bit outdated.
