the facility is clean and the toilets are of decent size for a madrid hotel in a prominent area lije Salamanca close to Retiro
There was some construction or room maintenance that started every morning in the floor where we stayed.

1. Not enough security.
Anyone had access to the elevators and the room floors.
The doors did not have peepholes to identify who was knocking.
2. Reception staff could be more friendlier and welcoming
3. Coffee machines in breakfast area needs adjustment for coffee to dispense hotter.
4. No concierge to help plan

The location was perfect
The size of the room made no sense for the price we paid. You couldn't fully open the door to enter the room because it was blocked by the bed. There was no space for both of us to comfortably take out the things from our suitcases. That was not a room for 2 despite they managed to put inside a double bed.

- The hotel staff was very polite. Both guys at the reception as well as cleaning ladies.
- Room was very small and extremely dark.
- Shower needed a repair as it was leaking water to the bathroom and the switch between hose and rain shower did not work
- TV is small, with no streaming services
- pillows are uncomfortable
- WiFi is slow. Not up to todays standards
