I had a balcony with a great view. Also there was a rain shower, which was very nice. The bed was clean and moderately comfortable. Linens were clean. Room was big.
However, the safe and coffee machine didn't work. At least I couldn't get them to.
The tiling in the bathroom was black marbly so I couldn't tell if it was clean or not, and I found a big old clump of hair in the shower, so I was a little grossed out. However, I had just come from a 5 star luxury hotel so I may have been a bit biased.

The staff were lovely, the rooms are very clean and spacious and the view from the rooftop terrace is fantastic, it would have been nice if they served coffee up there too besides drinks.
Unfortunately i wasn't very impressed with the restaurant. It had a very limited menu and i was rather disappointed with the food especially since it's not cheap, actually overpriced. Breakfast also offered a lovely spread and one could also choose various included options from the menu but unfortunately they took forever to arrive.

Picked this hotel based off reviews. The location was spectacular. The Dear hotel had everything needed for a couple night stay in Madrid. The subway was right there, it’s on Gran Via so tons of restaurants to chose from, easy access to sites and 24/7 reception. Shout out to Esther for ordering my taxi the night prior and double checking the next morning for my flight out to the US. The hotel also provided luggage hold when I arrived, fresh water for the room with refill stations (cold/hot) on every floor. I loved the robe and slippers and all of the hygiene soaps and lotions and even oil provided. Professional powered hair dryer. They even gifted a reusable shopping bag! I used it daily and it was a great souvenir. Dear hotel is a hidden gem and I am so glad I found it.
The only negative was the city noise at night. But my friends staying in a hotel that was double in price heard the same noises.

The price and the facilities of the hotel does not reflect the reality of the hotel facilities, for example, they don’t have LOB, they just have a small sofa where all the 13 floors, customers set, and the rooms very small and with a very, very basic need of any tourist, for example, if you need anything for the room, for example, cotton or toothbrush, you have to go down to the reception to pick it up

Towels were not clean & smelled bad, like they were unwashed. we asked the housekeepers to change them and instead of changing them they just fold them and put them back. The third time we asked them to change it they just took all the dirty towels and didn’t replace them with clean ones. We had no towels that night. And cleaning the room in general that night was not as expected, seemed like a lousy job done.

Location was good and staff was friendly
Extremely dirty, bed sheets were not change from previous guest there was other people’s hair on the pillow case and stains on the sheets and coffee stain from previous guest still on the table.
We asked to transfer to another room because it was so dirty and the staff were nice and gave us another room was a bit better just a little dusty but not 4 star level of cleanliness.

It’s clean and a great location.
The food at breakfast is not great, and there are few options. Also the service is slow: you have to book a time and you can’t get your own cover of tea, etc. Most importantly, we booked this hotel for the pool, which is in every email and phone and it doesn’t exist; there is no pool. They are just building one now’s it’s massive false advertising and we were very disappointed but the booking was not cancellsble. Also when confronted about this falsehood, the hotel staff did absolutely nothing.

Celia helped me figure out local activities, she helped me navigate the bus system to my destination, and was overall very helpful, answered all my questions. I loved the view, the pool, the bathroom, the comfortable bed, the privacy!
Your coffee machine is terrible! It was difficult to start it. I had to plug, unplug several times! Finally, when the green light came on, it started, but overfilled my cup, kept running. It was color of weak tea! And tasted terrible. Also there was no milk/creamer. Coffee is important first thing in the morning, so you should have strong coffee and milk in your fridge.

The location is great, next to the metro and a plaza and lots of shopping nearby.
The entire hotel advertising and every email talks about enjoying the rooftop pool. Every photo. Every email. The entire website. And the pool is not functioning. It’s our second time here on this trip and it hasn’t been functioning either time and the reservations are non-cancellable. Also the breakfast selections are terrible and the service at breakfast is worse. Very very slow. Despite booking this hotel particularly for the pool, and advising them of same, the hotel had done absolutely NOTHING to compensate us for the lack of pool, offered nothing to make our stay better.
