The staff was very friendly. The lady with glasses checked me in, July 2nd. She had a soothing voice and she was very friendly and accommodating in order to make up for the lack of AC in the building. The bedroom was cool and the breakfast was great.
The pool could've been bigger. When I arrived, July 2nd, I was told the AC was not working. That almost made me change the hotel but I did not want to walk around with my luggage any longer. The lady provided a portable AC to my bedroom which helped a little and I had the breakfast (20Euros) given as courtesy since the AC was out. Luckily I was there for just one night so it was alright.

Location is very good, walking distance from shopping areas, park and restaurants.
The Terrace/roof top area is dedicated to the hotel guests which is a big plus.
The hotel doesn’t have anywhere to stop the car, even temporarily, to unload luggage. Therefore, arriving by car can be quite a struggle. I had to unload our luggage in the lobby, find a parking facility, and then return to the hotel. So the check-in was far from ideal.

The pool and upstairs area was very lovely, well designed and felt very modern. The location of the hotel is great and pretty central meaning los that we wanted to do was well within walking distance
In general, the room itself felt a little tired and lots of things just didn't work which greatly affected our overall experience. The design of the room lacked personality or attention to detail. The air conditioning didn't work at all very effectively, and despite mentioning it to reception staff it wasn't addressed. The hairdryer didn't work which caused delays. Amenities in our room like tea or towels weren't replaced so we were often having to ask for them. We had paid for a hot tub terrace room and there were times during our stay where this wasn't working which prevented us from using it. There was a lot of construction happening on our floor meaning that lots of lifts were out of action and there was quite disruptive noise. There was exposed plaster board and generally the area just felt a little unfinished. Mostly generally and this might be a bit more subjective I would have hoped for a more boutique feel and attention to detail in some spaces. The plants on our balcony were plastic for example.

Check-in was quick, location is sublime, you're very close to all the most important sights and shops in Madrid. Also very touristy-area though, so expect it to be very crowded at night!
Bathroom was not up to par for the level of hotel this should be. Room was otherwise nice, bed was very big which is a huge plus. Friendliness of staff could've been better, especially since any requests about changing my booking or any accomodations for my arriving 1 night after (not even a restaurant invitation or anything) oh well.
Cleaning service did not come, even though the sign to request cleaning was up. Had to request it manually.

Location!
There was only one small elevator and several people that needed it. We had to lug our stuff up and down many flights. The room was too small and dated!

The position in the beautiful area of Madrid.The proximity to restaurents, cafes, parks and the wonderful fscilities.The rooms were very large, the bedding so comfortable.The shower was a real treat.It was so relaxing and restorative.
