What’s best about Catalonia Atocha is its service and location. The staff goes above and beyond to help and make you feel at home away from home. I’d like to mention Spyros who works at the restaurant. He’s very friendly and professional, ready to provide you with a recommendation on what to order and you won’t regret it. I’ve stayed at Catalonia Atocha on 4 different occasions and have always experienced the same type of service; that’s consistency!!!

After dealing with the exhaustion of a cancelled train, arriving at this hotel finally allowed me to relax. The hotel’s first impression was exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming. Luis assisted me at check-in, and he immediately understood my needs, thoughtfully assigning me a room without delay. I would like to sincerely thank Christopher, Pedro, and Luise for their kindness and support.

The door has quite gaps, you can hear everytime people walking/ speaking, kids screaming, housekeeping trolley moving, basically hear most of things and the other way around. The door to bathroom also has wide gap, so you can hear your companion's acitvity inside the bathroom. Fridge was barely cold, we have froozen item from supermarket that ruined because it was not cold at all, even for standard fridge temperature and they did not allow us to have this kept in their kitchen. Staff was ok, though I have to ask numerous times of my package which they insisted they did not receive and even asked me to check directly to the storage room with the concierge which in 5mins I found it, I wish they are more helpful.

I stayed in a single room, which was small and stuffy, with small window looking out into the well. Next time I'll book a normal double room.

sauna was nice and they have a small gym, the staff was as helpful as possible
15 euros an hour to use the spa. Gym is too small. Netflix did not work on the casting. Only you tube worked. AC unit gave me horrible sinus issues but I think I got that on the train. the AC just made it worse as I have no idea if they change the vents. Great location but don't use their metro it's an absolute nightmare!
