The location was perfect — just steps from the Puerta del Sol and the metro stop, I could be anywhere I wanted in moments. Despite being on a street with busy restaurants, my room was quiet. The free snacks and drinks in the lower level were welcome, the air conditioning worked very well, and I appreciated the small refrigerator in my room. Oh, and they left water and pastries at my door each morning!
Nothing. It was perfect for my needs as a solo traveler.

The hotel’s biggest advantage is its location. It’s just off Puerta del Sol, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and within easy walking distance of Madrid’s main monuments and attractions, making it a great base for exploring the city.
The hotel was clean throughout, and I appreciated the 24-hour coffee, tea, and snack room on the lower level. My room was also very clean, larger than I expected, and had a modern, updated feel with a nice bathroom.
That said, I felt the hotel was overpriced for a one-night stay and didn’t quite live up to its advertised 3-star rating. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, especially when I asked about arranging a taxi to the Madrid bus terminal the following morning. I also found the hotel’s photos somewhat misleading. If there is a rooftop terrace as shown in the pictures, it was never mentioned to me during my stay.
For comparison, I stayed at B&B Plaza Mayor a couple of years ago. While the room there wasn’t as updated, the overall experience was more enjoyable because the front desk staff were noticeably more professional, welcoming, and helpful.
