After walking the Camino all day this place was a joy to come to. The hostess was delightful. I arrived rather late and she mad sure that I got something to eat. There was a problem with my backpack not being delivered to this location ( totally my fault) and she called the company first thing the next morning and arrange for it to be delivered that morning and then sent on to my next destination. The room was so lovely and comfortable that even though I didn’t have my belongings , I felt relaxed an d got a much needed night’s sleep.

Location
The person in charged was extremely rude. We did not have electricity some part of the night , when I asked her why the building had no electricity she applied “ why you need electricity while you sleep and she also mentioned that she was not an electrician. I was speechless with her comment.

Very nice room right on the Camino. Super clean and very comfortable.
Check-in was awkward as you had to go 150 meters to a bar/restaurant to get your keys. Walls were a little thin - could hear the neighbours snoring.

The bathroom space was nice, and the staff member who gave us the keys was also very friendly.
Our room was located on the top floor near the roof, and there was barely enough space to move — we kept hitting our heads. It was extremely hot, and there was only one fan, which couldn’t reach the beds because they were placed on opposite sides.

Here’s a warmAs a father and son hiking the Camino, we really appreciated our stay at Vila Fontanas. The building is beautifully restored with charming details and thoughtful accents throughout. It was a hot day, and while the rooms aren’t air-conditioned, the staff provided us with a fan—and even brought us a second one from a neighboring room, which we truly appreciated. Though the front desk wasn’t manned, clear signage made the check-in process simple. The same owners run Restaurante Don Rodrigo just down the street, where we enjoyed a lively dinner with fellow pilgrims. A memorable and welcoming stop along the Way!
