As a first-time visitor to Girona I was keen to stay in the "old" city. On reflection I decided to book this property which is on the opposite bank of the river but a short, six or seven minute, walk away. It was a good call as the streets in the old city are narrow, winding, steep in places and far from easy to negotiate whilst there is a parking garage two minutes walk from this apartment with easy access (I drive a large SUV and it was a doodle). This area is also slightly less frantic than the extremely touristique old city and is blessed with excellent restaurants and good food/drink shopping facilities close by as well as a good range of other types of shops. I would certainly stay in this general area on future visits.
First, the apartment has obviously been developed on a bare-bones basis to the point of being austere. It is totally characterless and not welcoming in the least. Decor consists of an old, empty, picture frame attached to a wall and two small plastic plants in pots. Most of the basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided but, for example, no cloth or dish rack for drying dishes; no plugs for the sink or bath. Second, if you need reliable internet access, you're out of luck here. Frequently it was impossible to connect to the service but even when a connection had been achieved it regularly dropped out.

The host Stphane went above and beyond to make our arrival as pleasant as possible. The apartment is very complete, comfortable and clean. As well sleeping was very pleasant as it was totally silent (stayed at the non-street side though I believe street side would have been silent as well) and the bed was most comfortable. Also a large amount of cabinet space for clothes, all most practical. And it's good to know that the room can be darkened against sunlight, though you need to close the wooden outside blinds, by opening the french balcony doors first (the blinds are exterior). And what stands out the most is absolutely the location, it's to our belief the best you can find, and the garage is super close as well are small super markets and a huge amount of bars, cafs and restaurants as well shops. Though the street where the appartment is, is just totally calm. Can't recommend a better place for visiting Girona, and feeling completely as a local, in complete luxury comfort. And yes, the host Stphane shared a lot of info with us during our stay over whatsapp, all very welcomed, and as a person super friendly and therfore he was the absolute best in making our stay as perfect as it was.
In hindsight we would have wanted to stay much longer In Girona, but we had to leave Spain again for work. This is no complaint of course, actually for sure we will come again to the apartment of Balteck Homes, hopefully when there is availability. As I am sure the apartments (I believe 4 in total at this location) will be in high demand, because reasonable pricing, amazing location and great quality, including a very nice and professional host, make it a total winner for any next visit to the beautiful city of Girona.

Lack if facilities ie, Tea Towels, Kitchen Towerls, very little washing liquid, no salt, pepper or ny basic facilities, I think they could include more basics to make it more comfy Also the noise is the negative side to being in the leine location, also need black curtains

There was almost always a really bad smell in the flat, the shower in the smaller bathroom is not usable as the water floods the floor, kitchen would be nice if better equipped

The host, Stephane, was very nice and gave us a complete tour of the property upon arrival. He also provided us with a lot of helpful information on Girona and good restaurants, things to do, etc. We had the 3BR apartment and it was perfect for our visit. 2 BR on main level with 2 bathrooms and 1BR up flight of steps to mezzanine level. Apartment was lovely and very well furnished. Beds were comfy, elevator in building, close to everything. Fantastic stay in Girona- thank you!
All was terrific! One note that shower base is a floor tray with a curtain in 2nd bathroom so water can easily leak out into floor towels are provided by host so you just need to make sure you put extra towels on floor all around the base when using it and wont be an issue.

Great location near everything across from Nord 1901 hotel. Large well equipped one bedroom apartment. Highly recommended. Excellent air conditioning. Made early check in available. Great communication with host via Bookings messaging until I got to the apartment.
I notified him 5 minutes prior to arriving. Easy with wifi at the train station and said Id take a taxi. At the apartment just a few minutes later, I was unable to contact him since there was no wifi on the street. He could have just met me at the door rather than have me wait. Large gap at the bottom of the glass shower enclosure floods the bathroom.

The central location was great. Spacious and comfortable apartment . Good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Good wardrobe space. Shower good. Very clean. Secure apartment . Quiet .
Plates and cups not easily accessible in the kitchen unless you are very tall . Had to stand on a chair to reach them. TV didn't work for us but this wasn't a great problem as we were out most of the time.

A lovely apartment in an excellent location - central to everything, but nice and quiet with the bedrooms at the back and excellent soundproofing too. Stphane was friendly and gave us all of the information that we needed. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
