The location is great.
The manager is a very nice and helpful person.
There was a little issue with the A/C but the manager did all she could to get it fixed.

The owner is very friendly. I arrived a little earlier than I wrote down in the booking and after a telephone call in broken English she came straight away, amazing. The bed was comfy. The room has all the basic necessities (a little outdated but everything worked) and is close to supermarkets and restaurants. There is a communal kitchen with a microwave and plates/cutlery/etc. The beach is a little stroll away. The room was cleaned everyday and clean towels were provided. I enjoyed my stay!
The wifi did not reach my room in the back of the hallway, only worked close to the reception/kitchen. There was some mold in the little fridge in the room, it smelled funny. No sun on the balcony until 12:00 because of the building in front.

Very clean, daily cleaning. Heating with adjustable temperature. Good location, close to Mercadona shop and restaurants.
No table or desk to work at with a computer. Although I realize the size limitations of the room.

Loved Calpe beach beautiful,room acceptable, location on edge of town,with bars with no atmosphere unless you are Dutch,sorry,not pensions fault
Locals enthusiasm poor would go back to Calpe but not this district.

Nicely located near the beach and by some restaurants that weren’t pricey.
The air con is an extra 8£ a night, and for the price paid it, it should not be an extra. The lady told us some information but couldn’t give us a map to note it down. She was also not aware of some information useful to tourists such as bus timings.

Very good location near the beach, restaurants & grocery. In a good part of Calpe. A bit dated pension but room & bathroom is efficient & comfortable. We had a balcony with sea view which was nice to enjoy. Shared kitchen facility. Good wifi. Parking nearby is available. It can be noisy from restaurants downstairs on the wknd night. Daily cleaning. Friendly local hosts.
No shampoo or body wash provided. Mattress bit soft. Air con not included in the price. It’s an add on cost.

It is professionally run pension property with all details attended. One truly feels that hosts want their guests be comfortable.
Pension format means economy but hosts managed to save only where there is no compromise for guests.
Beds and matraces are very good - I have slept like a baby :)
Everything is very clean. Bed sheets and towels are changed as needed without asking.
I would give this property as an example how hospitality business should be run.

The owner of the property was so kind and friendly, also very helpful.
I arrived late because of the flight delay. I called the owner and he came in ten minutes to give me the key.
The room was tidy and comfortable.
The bathroom was also clean and every day there was a cleaning service.
The property is not near the city center and you need to take a bus if you do not have your own car.
It is very close to the beach.
There are supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes nearby.

This is our third stay at this property - that should tell you how highly we rate El Hidalgo. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable, we had a sea view, a small terrace, and an excellent reception from the owners. Will we go back again. For sure we will.
