W Barcelona is a striking sail-like structure next to Barceloneta Beach, offering breathtaking design and fantastic views over Barcelona. It features a spa, infinity pool, rooftop bar and luxurious rooms. The W Hotel’s impressive rooms feature avant-garde design and views of the Mediterranean or the city. They all come with a chaise lounge, flat-screen TV, iPod docking station and rainfall shower. Was on the 19th floor room with the best view in town. Hotel is always busy but always fun. My 5th time visiting always special in many ways. Get the room above 15th floor and fabulous sea view

Location is great, the view from the rooms is fantastic!
When we came to check-in, there was a very long queue and only 2 desks out of 8 (apprx) were working. The hotel staff said they cannot do anything. So we had to drop our luggage and go around to avoid the waiting time. Generally, the staff is not very friendly, basically everywhere, including Spa. The attitude is like "take it or leave it". The sound proof is quite bad - every time smb opened a door to a room, our door was shaking. The "private" beach, which the hotel is so proud about is working from 11.00 (!) to 18.00 and at 18.00 the guests are kicked out.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel. From the amazing breakfast and treat at Salt, to the amazing view of the city and the beach. The access to the beach was so refreshing. W is absolutely worth it.

The property was in very close proximity to the beach and port which is ideal, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was very nice and spacious
we had a slight problem with luggage delivery and it takes more than one call to fix a problem in the room, but at the end it was solved

Room wasn’t clean at all once I check in. Therefore was a spot that was not cleaned properly and it stayed not clean for the whole 3 days. The big Shock was finding a cockroach inside the room at night

This was our third stay at W Barcelona, and unfortunately the service keeps getting worse. We informed the hotel well in advance about birthdays, but there was no reply and no gesture at all – not even a card. Rooms were dirty, with smell of mold, leaking shower, no hot water, and even welcome fruits left to rot for days. Staff were rude and inattentive, both in the restaurant and at the beach, where we were told to take all our belongings even when going to the restroom. At checkout, nobody asked how we spent our week, and even our Bonvoy stay was registered incorrectly. This hotel no longer meets the standards of the W brand. Overall, W Barcelona is no longer delivering the quality it once had, and certainly not the standards expected of the W brand. Sadly, each stay has only left us more disappointed.
