No water refill? Having to buy plastic bottles every time? Must rent towels? No social activities or at least suggestions on weekdays? :S Maybe I missed the description, but where it says the pool is kindergarten size/deep??

The hotel was smells good and clean it feels like it always fresh laundry every time I walked thru the corridor. Staff specially the tall man were nice and accomodating too.
My bed was comfy too.
Well I know that, it's normal for bed space room. Since it was my first time, I cannot move freely specially during night. My bed was on top. They turned off the lights at 11pm. I want to arrange my things seems they're sleeping my movement was restricted. When I came back from laundry at 12mn it's very hard for me to packed my things the next day was my flight. it was soo dark and hard to not making noise..

It was not very clean, showers were not hygienic and the beds were not very private no curtains like other places, and the doors were extremely loud when closing, to the point where the walls would shake

Great position, easy to reach and makes it easy to navigate the city by foot. The building is elegant and finely furnished, has all kinds of amenities, real nice ambiance. Rooms are nice and comfortable.
Prices a bit too high for an hostel, and charging extra for an hairdryer is something unheard of, never happened at any hostel, b&b or hotel i've stayed at.

My experience at TOC Hostel has been one of the worst I’ve ever had in hostels.
First of all, the guy at the reception desk in the afternoon was extremely rude; it feels like approaching him is asking for a favor instead of receiving proper guest service.
The laundry facilities are terrible: dirty, they don’t wash properly, and I paid 9 € just to have my white clothes come out looking worse than before. On top of that, the detergent they provide never worked. And here you pay for absolutely everything: towels, laundry, water, breakfast… literally everything.
The worst part was the night. I’ve stayed in many hostels before, but never had such a bad experience. The hostel enforces very strict rules (no check-in before 3 pm, no resting in the lounge even if you’re exhausted, no eating in the dining room), yet they don’t seem to have control over what really matters: who enters the rooms. In my dorm, a girl—brought in from a party—came in to have sex. I sent messages via WhatsApp and Booking but never received a response, so I had to go down to reception extremely upset. The guys on the night shift were kind and went straight to check the situation, but by then the girl had already left.
The atmosphere is also very noisy. I understand they can’t control every sound, but it was obvious that the place is full of groups of young foreigners just looking for sex and partying. They came back to the dorms very late at night making a lot of noise. This is especially surprising considering I also saw many families staying at the hostel.
The only redeeming part was the breakfast (which you obviously pay for) and the morning staff, who were attentive, kept everything clean, and made sure guests had what they needed.
In short: an overpriced hostel, with strict rules for the wrong things and no control over what really matters. I would never stay here again and I do not recommend it.

Amenities provided swimming pool, cafeteria etc.
If checkout is at 11 am, the room should be kept ready by 1.00 pm. and check-in should be allowed after 1.30 unofficially....
People come at 1. 00 pm needs to wait till 4 pm to get to the room and take a rest.
Check in is not allowed before 3 pm, all guests come together at same time and creates delay for 40 minutes to one hour

The location is amazing, middle of Barcelona.
Near by bus from the airport 2 min walking.
The property is so clean
I had good luck to be with a company of nice people
Just for your info one bathroom and one shower for each room that have 6 beds
The Air Conditioner was not working but i didn’t complain so i don’t count it as negative

The receptionist she was so rude in the doesn’t know how to do the customer service and they are not even opening the door I was ringing it again and agin and they were on reception but still they were not opening the main door !!!
