Very Good
I love classic boats and Southern Cross is an absolute and special beauty and treat! It certainly is a very different way and experience of staying in Barcelona for a couple of days. And I love harbour atmospheres in general; that one here is pretty special! Very lively and convenient environment - if you have central city activities. So location and ship absolutely great! Met some great and interesting people on the boat and we are and will stay friends !
One problem is that the boat is leaving often for private party or sightseeing trips for several hours early evenings and is only coming back between 21-22 hrs. This had been announced already during booking, but once experienced it is a bit of a con... , unless you are out and about all day anyway. But it has to be said you can work comfortably on your laptop in the very tasty and cosy salon - or outdoors on the boat. The internet works very well when the boat is at its port mooring.
One other thing was a bit of problem: - as during my stay the general temperatures in Catalonia had dropped a lot, particularly during the night, the bedding was not very helpful and not really suited for such low night temperatures. I was cold in the morning, even under my two thin blankets, and developed a bronchitis that affected me a lot after my return to Tenerife.

The location difficult to find. Taxi dumped us away from location. Parking would have been out of question. High security risk in area. Noisy… stuffy inside. Staff sere good guys!

Location, history & uniqueness
No AC or fans in rooms, stuffy & very musty, one young lady checked us in and didn’t see crew again until the next morning

It was a new and different experience. For this reason it was enjoyable. I wanted to try something out of the normal, and it was..
It was warm in the rooms. People were partying on nearby boat my third night making it difficult to sleep. I am quite tall (6'4") so the cabin was a bit small, but I got by. The towel rack in the bathroom was broken. A bit of an annoyance.

Very Poor
The contact info on booking.com doesn’t correspond with the actual accommodation
They were incredibly rude to another customer who only wanted his room locked and a toilet seat. Is that worst place I’ve ever stayed

Nothing!!
The value for money is the worst I have ever had. The room price is high, and I got a very tiny room, the air conditioning is bad, the maintenance is poor. I am very disappointed with Booking who recommends this place.

A unique accomodation experience
The AC wasnt working properly and it was very hot and stuffy at night. The staff were not very friendly or helpful.
They changed the time of the sailing to an earlier time and did not inform me, so I nearly missed it and would have had to wait with all my luggage ( i hadnt checked in yet) for them to return.
Had to ask 5x after the sailing trip if I could check in before someone actually assisted and then had to carry a big suitcase down the steep staircase to the cabin with no help.
The staff were cold when I asked for basic things - water, to turn the AC on etc.

Beautiful boat. Great location. Nice breakfast.
Staff communication was not so good. We wasted a day of sightseeing. The boat cruise was canceled and we were not told the boat was moving either. Very shocking to see it leave without us. We ran to catch it, then it was cancelled.

Wonderful
Unique stay with super friendly staff. Not sure how I would sleep but as it turned out it was a very comforting night and overslept past the complimentary breakfast.
Directions to the boat were a bit confusing but it’s understandable to why with the marina location.

Disappointing
Breakfast was ok, typical continental. But we felt sorry for the last couple, food was not replenished and they did not get much to eat.
The boat is amazing!
Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, construction, traffic and no internet, we could not let anyone know we were running late. We accidentally turned a corner and saw the boat, we were so relieved and so excited to see it. But we heard all about it from the person in charge, The contact for a contracted sailing trip was the person who told us were we needed to be and what time, so we would have a place to sleep that night. No Wi-Fi on boat. Mattress is hard but if it was thicker you wouldn’t be able to get into bed.
Something broke under our room and they did offer us an upgrade room because they were afraid it would be to noisy to sleep.
Our last 2 days were supposed to be calm and relaxing before a long flight home. But instead we booked a room in the Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel and forfeited our money we had prepaid.
I have worked for Marriott International for 35 years, I know hospitality! If any of my associates, myself included would have treated a guest like this, extensive training would be the bare minimum to be applied.
The rest of the staff was great.
I would take note, they give you a key to lock your door and we did because we had not yet left the boat for the day and when we went back down to our room someone was in there cleaning, which was nice but totally unexpected, I had left my purse, phones etc in the room because we had locked our door.

Wonderful
The crew were very helpful and gracious hosts. The boat's period furnishings have been well kept. While a stay on a boat requires some getting used to, it was an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic location and a uniques experience
Don’t expect to be in a hotel, it is a working boat so as long as you are happy to plan your stay around the times it is out then there are no issues.

The location is nice and the boat itself was a great experience.
Provided bathroom amenities where a plus and the breakfast good.
The sheets were dirty, unfortunately, I discovered it late at night, so nothing we could do, and it was the only night we stayed.
In the neighboring cabin we had passengers snorring the entire night, which was very unpleasant.
The cabin itself smelled and felt very humid and the bulleyes could not be opened...
