Disappointing
It’s a good accommodation in nice location with very poor hospitality skills from staff.
Staff at the reception are very rude. I had a terrible experience!!
Cocktails sat the bar are bad. Even after feedback no improvement at all.
Elevator system is disaster in the rush hour.
Many alternatives in Barcelona are better in services, even with much more less price!
I think HYATT is away behind the luxury brands. They don’t know what is customer experience at all. They deal with people as a commodities.

HIGHLIGHT: THE RECEPTIONIST AFTERNOON SHIFT JANUARY 17, 2026
Worst front desk experience we have ever had. The service was extremely rude and felt discriminatory. We were not accommodated properly at all. We called the reception four times regarding an issue with our television, and later found out that the receptionist never even contacted the designated staff member who was supposed to fix it.
I personally called the reception again to escalate the concern and was promised wine and chocolates as compensation, but nothing was ever delivered. There was no follow-through and no accountability.
The receptionists working during the afternoon and night shift on January 17 were particularly unprofessional. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Amazing breakfast and some of the most friendly staff. Lots of variety and a lot of thought and energy put in. Special thanks to Deuris for her cleaning and Emilio for his extra efforts in chatting.

This hotel could well be Barcelona's best. At least it was for me. It has so many dining options and our 'iconic suite' was like an apartment. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was great, down to the breakfast buffet. Amazing place.
Not really a complaint, but the check-in staff were a bit confused on whether it had been paid via Booking.com (it had) or not. Nothing serious, though.

The staff were outstanding, very responsive to my requests.
In the morning, there was an altercation in the hallway and someone was yelling and going up and down the hallway. I stayed in my room until it was quiet and when I needed to leave for my touring, I called the guest services and they sent 2 staff to escort me downstairs so that I would feel safe. The situation had been dealt with.
Guest services were also super helpful in printing out my boarding pass and luggage tags for my cruise as I had left my printed copy at home . I was grateful for this service.

The design is beautiful
Not functional, the lights were poor no way to make up in the bathroom
Only very cold water in the three bathroom sinks. At 4 pm the room was still undone. 20 minutes line for the breakfast buffet.

The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet
the room was smaller than I expected. It took me a while to discover the water purifier as I expected bottles of water, and the wastepaper bin was hidden behind the toilet making me wonder why the rioom didn´st have one. This could well have been jet lag - not a design fault.

Had money stolen from my laptop bag
I realized I had booked the wrong night. The hotel was not willing to negotiate. They could have not charged us for our 1 missed night, they chose not to. Of course it was my mistake but they were not willing to make any adjustments.
