Soundproofed rooms were fantastic in a noisy central location. Breakfast was wonderful and breakfast staff were so friendly and attentive.
No chairs or place to sit in the room other than the bed.

The room was a good size. The wash basin was in the bedroom and the shower and toilet were also separate within the bedroom. This was good, but also had its disadvantages, for instance if you needed to use the wash basin and someone was sleeping.
The location was perfect. Walking distance to a lot of places and the metro around the corner had all the main lines running through it which connected you to all the major sites. The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping district and up the road from Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter, so everything is on your doorstep.
There is also a 24hr Areobus around the corner which take you directly to either Terminal 1 or 2 of the airport and it only costs just over 7euros, so very convenient.
You will be spoilt for choice on where to eat and drink!
The hotel staff were really friendly - always said hello or goodbye when walking past. The hotel was fantastic. The only think I would add is that it would be good to have a mirror by the dressing table and more variety of TV channels. I let the staff know that my son was celebrating end of exams and they kindly left a sweet note in the bedroom along with a box of cookies, which was a really lovely gesture.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying here!
I was not too keen on the wash basin being outside the toilet and it being in the bedroom. But this wasn't a deal breaker. I would still stay here again.

I like everything, it is v near to all shopping brands, v near to La Rambla, who wants to stay in center just stay, no need to worry.

Ideal location for links to central Barcelona. We had the room with terrace and jacuzzi which was great. I cannot comment on the other rooms. Breakfast was brilliant with a great selection of food. Staff were very friendly and would help in any way if needed.

Room Mate Pau is a stylish and modern hotel with every comfort located in the heart of Barcelona. The staff is helpful, especially the fellow who recommended Casa Alfonso!
I especially loved the delicious and varied breakfast. My complements to the chefs and to Jordie whose warm greetings and friendliness makes guests feel welcome.
I don't like the policy of no cancellations. Several other hotels I was considering have a more reasonable one.

The breakfast was very good and exceeded my expectations. The gentleman who was in charge of the breakfast place was pleasant and friendly. He spoke find English and kept the place clean. The food was very good. Every day you would see a few new kinds of food

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, it was absolutely massive! The large bath on the terrace was a life saver during the recent heatwave, we sat in cold water every day! The room was really well decorated and there was plenty of space and storage. I received a thoughtful note & gift for my recent graduation.
The location was ideal and right by the metro & bus stops, including the airport bus.
The bubbles in the balcony bath didn't work. There wasn't enough coffee provided and there was a charge to get more.
