The hotel was perfectly located in the gothic quarter which allowed us access to most of the city easily. The room was clean and the bed/bedding was extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Would certainly stay again and recommend anyone else coming too.

The room was not the cleanest and the tiles on the floor are not leaving abgood impression of something special. There was notbwindow in the room but that part is what was my mistake.

Beautifully appointment room at the Gerard - definitely masculine in its design statement. The room felt fresh, clean and inviting - the ambient speakers are great addition, although we could not change the channel when one morning we got woken up by Mexican music playing - something more subtle would be fine. We did manage to switch it off so it would not go off the subsequent morning abruptly, but overall a nice addition. The location is great too - very lovely area to walk around and handy to a few of the main sites in Barcelona including the nearby beaches. Good coffee shop etc around the area and some lovely places to brunch. Pool area and seating at roof top were kept nicely. The gym, while not very big or has wide selection of equipment is a good addition to the hotel for a quick workout.
There was no coffee pods provided for the remainder of the stay. Always nice if a hotel provides this complementary but seems like it was only a one day thing, which is strange given the hotel standard. The lobby was interesting with an odd art installation right at the door - perhaps placed at the corner where they have the bikes would be better. Equally, staff have to open the door each time from the reception (even during day time) which was strange - you would expect the door to be open and at night to use your cards to enter the hotel. Perhaps for security reasons, but the area seemed safe even in the evening. The check-in experience was not that personalized/special given there were few people waiting in line to check-in but overall satisfactory.

This was not my first stay at Room Mate Collection Gerard, and once again, I was very impressed. The hotel has an excellent location, beautiful interiors, and a unique atmosphere. The staff are always professional, friendly, and helpful, which makes me feel comfortable from the very first moment. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and very well equipped.
I will be more than happy to return here, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Barcelona.

The location is excellent: the hotel is about 1 km from Plaça Catalunya and the Barri Gòtic and El Born neighborhoods. The Sagrada Família is a little farther but still reachable on foot with a walk of around half an hour; for sights like Parc Güell, Barceloneta or Montjuïc it’s convenient to take the bus or metro. Arrival from the airport is very easy: take the A12 bus (€7.50) to Plaça Catalunya, then walk roughly 1 km to the hotel.
The hotel is very charming and offers all the comforts: we were on our honeymoon and especially appreciated the very comfortable bed. The room includes a minibar and coffee/tea facilities. The rooftop features a pool and a small bar — the perfect spot where my wife and I often relaxed in the evenings; there’s also a small gym for those who don’t want to lose their fitness while on holiday. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, with a wide choice of sweet and savory items, and the atmosphere is never chaotic or overcrowded.
In short: great location, a welcoming property, and well-cared-for amenities — highly recommended for couples and for anyone seeking peace and convenience in the city.
