One of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed in - an oasis of calm not far outside central Barcelona. The pool area and surrounding gardens are beautiful, and the restaurant attached to the hotel is superb. Staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough.

As a frequent traveler, this has been one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Europe. Exceptional service, warm hospitality, and great quality throughout. Breakfast was also excellent. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else on my next visit to Barcelona. Sincere thanks to the entire team.

We loved it. Beautiful hotel. Rooms are amazing, stuff very helpful. Location in a quiet, very well maintained neighbourhood. Close to metro and proximity to major road. First class shopping district is 20 minutes walking distance.
Parking a bit tight, but normal to Spain. Despite staff recommendation the restaurant a bit disappointing.

It has a home-like atmosphere, likely because it’s a converted apartment building tucked into a quiet suburban neighborhood. The on-site garage is convenient, the rooms are relatively spacious, and the breakfast buffet is impressively expansive. We regretted not booking a true 5-star hotel, which would have cost the same but delivered a far more luxurious experience.
We appreciated the complimentary breakfast offered as a gesture for the non-functional phone and TV screen in our room. However, the overall experience at Primero Primera fell short of a true 5-star standard.
The rooms are not updated — one of our bathrooms had a visibly worn door ledge, and the furniture throughout felt dated and tired. Towels were limited (just two), and although complimentary water and soft drinks were a nice touch, they didn’t make up for the lack of modern comfort.
The pool area also felt outdated, and overall amenities were underwhelming for a hotel in this category. Staff were polite, but seemed limited in their authority to accommodate guest needs. For instance, when we requested rooms on the same floor as our children, we were offered to downgrade our room instead of upgrading theirs — an odd solution that was paired with a complimentary buffet as a concession.
While the hotel has charm and a boutique feel, it did not deliver a true luxury experience. A disappointing stay for those expecting 5-star quality.
