Location is excellent Clean rooms
This was a trip with my partner in celebration of my 50th birthday. I was expecting a true five-star hotel experience, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The entrance doesn’t make much of an impression — the ceilings are low and the space feels rather small and cramped. To be fair, we were told we’d been upgraded, but even the upgraded room didn’t live up to expectations. The shower and bathtub were fine, but the rest of the room lacked the feel of a five-star property — it was simply too modest. There was no minibar, the coffee machine didn’t work, and the water pressure was very weak. The bathroom amenities were basic — probably the most limited we’ve ever received in a 5-star hotel. On the positive side, the mattress was comfortable, and we liked the idea of being able to choose a fragrance for the bed linen. We absolutely loved Barcelona and especially the Eixample neighborhood where the hotel is located, but overall, the hotel didn’t offer the quality or experience we expected for the price. The bellboy was always smiling and genuinely kind, but the rest of the staff felt distant and somewhat indifferent.

What I liked most was: The modern design of the room, the very spacious and comfortable beds, the restaurants, the view, the staff, and the hotel in general. I loved the idea of being able to choose the type of pillows and room fragrance.
The bread at breakfast should be better and offer more variety (such as sourdough breads with walnuts or olives, plain bread, seeded bread, etc.).
