The location was in a nice Area
We were on the First floor. Underground is below the facility so you hear lots of noise while in bed. Roof tarras was closed and building was emply. Paid a lot of money but did not really enjoy stay. We could not cancel or refund the second day because we wanted to cancell

The concierge was amazing with very good restaurant recommendations. The guest experience had a lot to attention to the details and came up with a brilliant surprise for my son with whom we were going to a FC Barca match

We chose this based on the reviews and Monument did not disappoint. 1) This was our second hotel in Barcelona and we wanted to be in this area for the food, shopping be closer to Segrada by foot. But still relatively close if we wanted to head back to the beach or gothic quarters 2) Staff from the moment you walk in were spectacular, friendly and always willing to help and go beyond 3) Food was great, we only ate at the rooftop, lunch/dinner and breakfast daily, again, staff went beyond courteous, and selection was far better than the previous hotel we stayed at
1) Not a big deal, but their was no ground floor lounge area, we were told it's under construction so we look forward to future visits 2) Gym was a tad small, had the basics, 3 cardio and some weights. Treadmill wasn't working though. Otherwise, it was accessible pretty much earlier morning to late evening.
