Location staff and facilities were all great
The rooms aren’t what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. The carpets were a bit grubby and decor/furnishings felt outdated. Room was disappointing

The location is perfect. The swimming pool and spa below are marvelous. The staff are always cordial and efficient, with special attention to details such as a welcome bottle of Prosecco and a lovely Valentine’s cake…. The bar is cozy with the possibility of a light dinner with drinks. The pianist in the evening was very talented, thus very enjoyable!
The Prosecco could have been of a better brand…

Location is wonderful. Close to many museums and landmarks. Hotel is clean and staff were accommodating, pleasant and friendly. We had a gorgeous and very comfortable room with a balcony of the city. We would definitely stay there again!

From the moment of arrival the atmosphere of the hotel is set by the team. The service is attentive, kind and genuinely personal. Professional without distance, close without ever being overly familiar. It is the kind of hospitality that feels natural and sincere.
The Majestic has the character of a classic grand hotel and it is clear that the property is being progressively updated while preserving its identity. What really makes the place memorable, however, is the people. Because this is not a large chain with scripted interactions or strange incentive systems. What you find here is something much rarer today: a culture where attentiveness, kindness and genuine care are simply expected and practiced every day. And you can feel that it is real.
The reception in particular deserves special recognition. The welcome was exceptional. It was attentive, thoughtful and genuinely warm. Honestly the best reception experience I have had in a luxury hotel in more than a decade, and I have stayed in quite a few.
The spa is excellent and clearly part of the newer areas of the hotel, beautifully designed and very relaxing. The rooftop terrace is easily one of the best places in Barcelona to enjoy a drink, with excellent cocktails, beautiful views of the city and a wonderful atmosphere.
Breakfast is also outstanding and easily among the best in the city. The awards it has received are fully deserved.
But in the end what truly makes the Majestic special is the team. That kind of authentic hospitality is something you rarely find today and it elevates the whole experience.
The rooms, corridors and lifts are beginning to show their age and could benefit from a refresh (They are great but for the level of the property they are already calling for it). That said, the property is already in an update process which is awesome.
