Very Good
Kitchen is fantastic, staff are pleasant and very helpful, location is a little far from lots of attractions but I liked the area.
The only unfortunate thing was the wifi - SUPER slow that it was basically worthless.

Quiet and tucked away in the streets of Gracia. It was a very relaxing space to come back to after exploring all day. The common area was very tidy. I stayed in the female only 6 bed room. Everyone was respectful of each others space when I was there. Kitchen area was large and clean. No partying of any kind at the hostel which I appreciated. I wish all hostels were as well run/clean/thoughtful as this one!
nothing, really.

This is a very nice space with a great vibe. It’s exceptionally clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and in general you can tell that Casa Jam was created with love. It has a spacious kitchen with free unlimited coffee 24/7 and plenty of space where you can eat and socialize, plus a very nice kid’s corner with lots of toys and a chalk board. The hostel is very family-oriented and is located in arguably the best neighborhood of the city with lots of restaurants, indy stores, and playgrounds all around. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience staying there.
We stayed in a room with its own bathroom, a double bed and a crib. Although the bed was really comfy and I appreciate the crib provided free of charge, it was a real bummer having to press the shower button every 5–7 seconds for the water to keep running. I understand that water consumption is costly and not eco-friendly but also when you pay €158/night (before city tax) you expect at least to be able to wash your hair without interruption. Also, our soap dispenser by the sink was broken and leaked on the floor. You had to step into the shower to get some soap from there.
Furthermore, poor soundproofing was an issue the first night we were there because we could hear some loud noises either from the street or downstairs and then someone started wildly banging on the wall behind our room that made us jump on the bed, but luckily it didn’t last long. The rest of the time, knowing how well you can hear through the walls, we were very conscious of us being loud ourselves, since we stayed with a toddler who couldn’t help but have meltdowns almost every single night.
So, overall, I would say the main disappointment was the value for what we paid. I understand that Barcelona is not a cheap city when it comes to accommodation but it was still a bit shocking that for €158/night you stay in a small basic room with water running for 7 sec max in the shower and 2 sec in the sink, no breakfast, no bathroom amenities besides soap, no towel change (unless you pay extra), and minimal soundproofing.

The location is excellent. It is as advertised lovely kitchen with lots of space. Best of all it’s quiet! Perfect for people who prefer a calm but communal atmosphere . The staff are where the place really shines - they are really pleasant! On my first day i received a map and a walk through of ideas for an itinerary
The floor in the bathroom was occasionally wet but I think that’s because people neglected to close the shower door

It’s not my first hostel and it’s really really the best place I’ve ever been. I cannot express how much I enjoyed the hostel. For some people stuff I’ll say might be a minus but for me it was the biggest joy.
1. The stuff is amazing of course, thanks to them
2. Such a beautiful kitchen!!! I bought some food at the market and made breakfasts myself. They have everything.
3. Quiet hours after 10 - omg!! It’s fine I got back at 1am, I did everything as quiet as I could to not wake up my roommates. And I also came back at 8pm tired, I wanted to sleep and the 10pm quiet hour was a blessing for me!
Also, idk about other rooms but mine was facing the inner terrace (not a street), so there were no noises from the streets too. Wow.
4. Families - yes, there are kids and families in the hostel, I’m 30, I think younger than me were just kids. In my room I stayed with 4 elderly ladies, in their 50s and 60s - I loved them so much. It was quiet. We talked calmly, we went to bed early and we woke up early. Thank you!!!
5. Bathrooms outside the rooms, shared we call them, right? No privet bathrooms, don’t fall for that. Privet bathroom are overrated - people pee, poop, taking showers at all hours and you don’t want that. So, here, shared bathroom on a floor, but the hostel is not that big, I think I never saw more than 2 people at the same time there. Most of a time a showered, I brushed my teeth alone. It was amazing.
This place feels like HOME!! And as well as some people can say - what’s the point then, well, idk. For me the point is to sleep like a baby after 12 hours walking around the city and drinking vermouth. I’ve met people in the kitchen cooking breakfast, I’ve people outside through some nomad apps, the room and the bed for me are to sleep.
So I have never enjoyed a hostel more then this
I loved this place completely. I can offer maybe to organize some activities but to stay in your values. So not a pub crawl but a board games night.

Great hostel! Even though it’s technically not in the city center, the neighborhood is really nice and well connected by buses and the metro.
The hostel feels more like a small hotel – very clean, modern, and beautifully designed, with great common areas that are genuinely pleasant to hang out in.
Not crowded at all – no lines or big groups.
Friendly staff who were helpful with anything I needed.
For a hostel – it’s top-notch!
It would be nice to have bed curtains, that’t all that comes to my mind.

Stayed here for a night, very well located in the heart of Gracia, staff was friendly and place was clean. You can walk in the neighborhood and it is very nice. The Glop restaurant nextdoor was amazing.
The shower had a button so it cut out after a short amount of time, bed was not very comfy.

The place was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and roomy. All beds had a light and an outlet with a little shelf. Lockers with locks were provided. Staff frequently cleaned and the kitchen was always spotless. Free coffee in the mornings was a huge plus. The location was amazing too, and easy to access from public transportation.
The only downside was that there wasn't oil provided in the kitchen. Everything else was perfect!

The location was really convenient - close to the metro station but also within walking distance to Sagrada Familia. Additionally, the staff was really helpful and eager to recommend local spots and restaurants, which turned out to be great. The room and bathroom, as well as the communal kitchen, were both clean and nicely decorated. Overall, great value for the service provided.
