Really close to Joanic station, which links up to other metro lines, so wherever you need to go, it's easy. Room and shared areas were very clean. Lovely patio, that unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy as we were out most of the day. Any requests were dealt with immediately (I asked for an extra pillow, for example). One night we had noisy neighbours and as soon as I mentioned it to the young man at reception it was dealt with. Other than that, it is a very quiet place. The shared kitchen was supplied with tea and coffee from an organic, eco-friendly store close to Casa Jam. Proper tea leaves (black and green tea) and excellent coffee. No instant coffee at Casa Jam :-) In the shared area, there is also a section for younger kids with a bean bag, table assorted books (and I think toys?). My kids are in their teens so we didn't pay attention. There're some shelves with books in different languages, a deck of cards and a couple of board games. The staff is friendly, and there's always somebody around.

This place contributed significantly to our first impression of the Gracia neighborhood in Barcelona. It was cozy and simple yet exceptionally clean and comfortable. I appreciated the 24/7 reception; there was always someone friendly and helpful available. Spacious common areas such as a kitchen and a terrace were a pleasant surprise, although we didn't use them much, as we enjoyed the sunny weather outside. There were numerous small artisan shops and activities near the accommodation, and the overall impression was that the hotel suited the neighborhood's spirit, which is multicultural, friendly, relaxed, and artistic.

I loved everything about my stay at Casa Jam Barcelona! I felt at home right away. The staff was so friendly especially Sara who gave me a detailed description of where I should go and what I should do during my time in Barcelona! I was so happy that what I saw on the photos was exactly what the hostel looked like. Its spacious and enough room for relaxing and taking a break. The free tea and coffee was a treat. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances needed to cook a great meal. The room was clean when I arrived and cleaned every day I was there. Absolutely cant stop talking about my time at Casa Jam with my friends and family. Cant wait to visit again!
The only thing that surprised me was that the bathroom for the dorms was down the hall and not attached to the dorm room. It wasnt a train smash but just something I didnt know beforehand. My bed was also very squeaky when I moved and I woke up with back pain but I think it was just my bed. All the other dorm mates were happy with their bed! (Could just be my old age hehe)

Each bed was located with a table and a plug-in station for your electronics. Also the fact of there being lockers was useful.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Casa Jam in Barcelona with my friend Viki. The experience was truly unforgettable, and here's why:
First and foremost, Casa Jam's location is simply unbeatable! Situated right in the heart of Gracia, we were surrounded by the vibrant energy of the city. It made exploring Barcelona a breeze, and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to base our adventures.
The staff at Casa Jam were like rays of sunshine throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to assist us with recommendations for the best places to visit and dine in the city. Their warmth and willingness to help made us feel right at home.
Speaking of home, the hostel's atmosphere was incredibly cosy. It had that perfect balance of comfort and a social vibe, making it easy to meet fellow travelers and exchange stories.
Cleanliness is a top priority for us when staying in hostels, and Casa Jam exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was hands down the cleanest we've ever seen in a hostel a testament to the staff's dedication to maintaining a pristine environment.
The flexibility to store our luggage after check-out was a lifesaver. It allowed us to make the most of our last day in Barcelona without lugging our bags around, a small detail that made a big difference in our travel experience.
Our room had everything we needed, including a window and AC that kept the temperature just right. The lockers with key cards were a smart and secure touch, giving us peace of mind about our belongings.
While I personally found my mattress a bit on the firm side, I have to commend Jesus for being incredibly solution-oriented. His offer to add duvets to the mattress to make it more comfortable was a thoughtful gesture that showed how much Casa Jam cares about guest comfort.
In summary, Casa Jam in Barcelona was an absolute gem.

Great facilities and location. Staff were are so lovely and helpful. Gave us recommendations and went above and beyond to help us out. Fantastic place and would definitely recommend.
Restrictions around whole we could use washing machine was frustrating as we were out during the day, but understandable because of noise.

The property was very clean and the staff (particularly the lady on reception 2 Oct) was so friendly and helpful, she went the extra mile!
Rooms got a little stuffy and the timer on the shower was a bit too short.

Location was amazing, staff was superb...like each and every one of them, extremely clean, actively promoting sustainability in all its forms, everything was fantastic. Design was also amazing, it totally had home-y atmosphere
Beds, I would definitely invest in a bit more comfortble mattrasses. They were super thin, extremely uncomfortable and squeaky. The whole experience of this hostel was superb, very nice, cool and friendly vibe....except those beds

It was a really quiet hostel, even when the room was near the kitchen. The linen was clean and gets changed when you stay a certain amount of time which is really nice. Also, the lockers are big enough for the luggage and secured with the key card you get for the room.
The hostel isn't really close to the city center but it's near a metro station and thus you just need like 20 minutes in total to get the the gothic quarter.
The kitchen is well equiped, clean and really big.
There were no privacy curtains, which was really annoying. The rooms were completely white which gave them a kind of sterile look, too.
