Hotel Rialto was in a fabulous location, close to the old city and all the major attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. We would definitely stay there again.

We were in Barcelona for a day and a half, between ferries, so the location was good. Not too far from the port with a selection of restaurants nearby.
Our ferry departure was in the evening of our second day in Barcelona, so I had to pay for a second night to secure our room for the day. At the time of booking I tried to arrange a half day, or an extended late check-out, but I got no response from Hotel Rialto. I think this enquiry could have been handled better.

It was a more affordable option in a great location for exploring the Gothic Quarter. We had a room with a balcony overlooking Carrer de Ferran, so we had a great position for the parades and activities that went through while we were there (late Sept). The buffet breakfast has a good range of food options.
You can ask to borrow a kettle from reception, but it would have been nice to have some drink-making facilities in the room. There was a vending machine on our floor (eg water and beer), but it didn’t always work properly. Even just a small hotel bar on the ground floor would be good. The balcony doors are not sound-proof enough for the very, very late activity.

The hotel is clean, beautiful, and steeped in history. The dining room is one of the most stunning I have ever seen. The staff in the dining room and at the reception were friendly and helped us with every issue that arose. I would like to make a special mention of one of the staff members—pictured here with me—who is an outstanding employee and a credit to the Gargallo chain.

Street occasionally closed at times so taxis drop you off at the square not a big walk.

We really liked the location and how easy it was to walk around the area, and also not to rely on the tube etc. The gothic quarter has so much to offer and the hotel is at the heart of this
We had a room at the front of the hotel, which unfortunately meant every night we were woken up at different times through the night, due to various reasons. 1-the amount of people using the road. 2.refuse and other things being collected through the night. 3.the rooms not being noise proof. 4.there was no mention of this in any reviews..and sadly it nearly spoilt our holiday.
