We are a couple traveling heavy, with many bags. The king suite was very spacious, with enough room for us both to use our laptops and work remotely. The bathroom was a little limited in surfaces, but decent. The breakfast was very good, and the laundry service is same day, which was awesome. There are 2 supermarkets just across the street, open 24 hours a day, and the location near Placa de Catalunya is just excellent.
The room needs updating; the floors were creaking.

The bathroom smells bad a bit, lighting in the room is not enough, it’s too dark, also the hall is too dark.

Location
The room was extremely small, dark, and had no windows. It looked nothing like the photos. You could hear every sound from the hallway or the neighboring rooms as if people were right inside your own! Overall, it was a very disappointing experience ,the only good thing was the location.

Clean, excellent location, great concierge service, great breakfast staff.
We made the reservation for 2 single beds in one room as I was traveling with my 92 yr old dad. The front desk mgr provided us with one double bed saying she didn’t have any alternative. Initially told us to either take it or go find another hotel but loose the first night fee stay. After several pleads and even a request to upgrade the room to at least a king bed for the 1st night, finally and after a very uncomfortable exchange she gave us a room with 2 single beds… I guess she had one.

The location was good and the room was kept quite clean.
We experienced terrible service. On our last day, Sunday 2 November, in the morning we wanted to order a taxi to the airport. A young, blond, not polite lady at the reception said it was not possible to order a taxi, as traffic was constrained near the hotel. We asked several times how to go to the airport then. She could not tell us about the public transport alternatives. She basically sent us to wander the streets and search for a taxi in a random neighbourhood 15-20 min. by foot away, with 30 kg of luggage and an elderly person in our company. We had to insist to get a map indicating where we should go to search for a taxi. When we got there, of course, the taxi stand was empty. The receptionist could have at least ordered a taxi to wait for us at a corner where it was possible for it to drive to, instead of just sending us off to try our luck in the unfamiliar streets of Barcelona, with heavy luggage and under pressure to arrive at the airport on time! Luckily we checked out earlier, so we got the bad news about the taxi service with time to spare. But what if one just goes down with normal time foreseen for a taxi ride and has to start touring the streets on foot with their luggage? As the receptionist could look in the system and know who is about to depart, should there not have been a proactive notification about the traffic disruptions and lack of taxi service? This is not a 4-star hotel service and completely ruined our impression of the hotel.
