Good location, clean room, decent amount of space, big comfy bed, good front desk service, lockers available downstairs for storing luggage. Some reviews complained about privacy but the toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom, and the mirror that hangs over the sink slides across to become a ‘wall’ for the shower if you want total privacy - quite clever use of space.
There is some noise from the hallway, the door isn’t very thick, to keep noise out. The bed was tucked against the bathroom partition so can only get in/out of bed on one side. I was in my own so it was fine, but may be trickier for a couple.

Wonderful
We had a great stay at Hotel Rec Barcelona. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The service was warm, helpful and always welcoming. The rooms were very clean and well maintained throughout our stay.
The location is honestly one of the best parts of this hotel – very central and convenient, with easy walking access to many attractions, restaurants, cafes and public transport. It made exploring the city very easy and enjoyable.
Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Barcelona.

The location was perfect. The wine tasting and live music were both really great. Breakfast was fantastic and so nice to eat with a view! The staff were friendly and helpful.
The coffee wasn’t great. It wasn’t really overlooking landmarks and our room didn’t have a view (although that was suggested on the booking). The pool is not really a pool, it’s very very small.

The bathroom had no ventilation. The room was small, and the placement of the shower inside the room was not suitable. It was expensive.

We are happy we’ve chosen this hotel. Very clean, location couldn’t be better, very friendly stuff, comfy beds, nice room, amazing rooftop. Restaurants and bars in walking distance, great neighborhood. It’s really a 10 of 10!

The deck on level 7 was open and inviting, it also opened up to a pool (Not open) and outside seating. That is also where they served breakfast for 17 euros. They had a free beer tasting event Monday night, a Tuesday el born tour for 25.00 per person was canceled due to a restaurant being closed. Convenient to the bus station where we took a tour to Monserrat from Get Your Guide. Friendly staff. A restaurant next door which we ate at. Upscale but they allowed us to share a plate.
The room was tiny. One chair only. We needed to work out of our suitcases. Limited TV stations which was a surprise. On the first day there was no hot water so we couldn’t shower. We reported it and they did fix it but still not super hot. They did deliver a complimentary bottle of cava with their apologies.

I loved the location, the modernity, the early evening activities in the Bar on the 7th floor hosted by the lovely, lively staff especially, Mark.

Central location , front desk staff excellent , very helpful. The room was nice, maybe a little compact but everything you need. Large bed was very comfortable- room was very clean. The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast - the staff were great just understaffed to keep the food replenished - and maybe a bit more variety in the hot food section, and warmer, when you asked they did replace it - very last thing that was missing was a fridge in the room. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again - good value for a great location.
