Very Poor
The room is overall clean.
Location: it was situated in a dark, sketchy alley and there are people wandering around the hotel at night and you don’t feel safe.
Bed: this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had. The mattress and pillows are ok but the bed frame is not of shape and keeps making squelching sound even with the slightest head spin.
Noise: the rooms are not sound-proof at all. At night, you can very clearly hear people talking/walking in the corridor and when other guests use the toilet/shower!
Facilities: very old and not working well - the whole hotel needs a complete renovation.
Staff: the reception staff at night are not helping or seem to care about guests’ normal inquiries at all. When we were politely asking questions before finishing, he just walked back to his computer. When we paid for water at the vending machine (yes, water is only free for the first night at an average of 200+ Euro hotel) and the water didn’t come out, his attitude was like none of his concern and basically told me to wait for refund (and he’s not sure when refund will be processed).
The janitors are indifferent and cold as well. We said hello and the only reply was a very cold “Hi” - you don’t feel welcomed there.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small.
The drain in the shower didn’t drain properly. We didn’t discuss it with the desk because we were only there for two nights.

We did eat breakfast at hotel. The location was good for getting around to do things.
The room was to small. The bathroom was in need of updating and cleaning. There was not refrigerator, only one ice machine in lobby area. Only got one towel each per day and we ran out of toilet paper our last nite, never got a xtra roll! We would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building in a good location in the city.
One of the staff members was very rude. I was visiting my son who is studying in Barcelona this semester. He was with me when I checked in, but not staying with me, and wanted to help me with my luggage and see my room. The staff member told us 'only you can go up.' Naturally we thought that was silly, so my son, said, well, I'm just going up for a minute. The staff member came out from behind his desk and got in my face. I asked why he couldn't come up and he just replied that "it's the rule." I was annoyed and angry and he threatened to call the police. I went upstairs by myself without further incident, but stayed only another night, before changing to a different hotel nearby- which turned out to be less expensive and nicer.

Wonderful old hotel in a great location in Barcelona.
The shampoo and soap are the worst I’ve ever experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. It doesn’t match the nice experience the rest of the hotel has. Definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony.

Lots of noise from inside the hotel. Had to ask for coffee every day and then was denied more than once . Water was the same way.had to ask and was told no. No fridge and only instant coffee available
