Bed was super comfortable & large. House keeping service excellent. Rooms were kept very well every day. Room size was surprisingly large, plenty of space, High ceilings and lots of windows. Hotel location is fantastic, only steps from La Rambla / Gothic Quarter / Placa Catalunya / Bus to the airport. The Location does mean you are in the heart of the city though, so bring your earplugs if city noise such as local stores opening up & closing down/garbage collection bothers you. We definately recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.
Old building, is a little tired with some cracked floor tiles, but that's the only negative comment. It is very clean, and great value for money

Wonderful
Very clean. Kind, courteous and efficient reception staff. Lovely historic decor in the lobby. Very central in the heart of Barcelona.

Incredible location; filled with beautiful turn of the twentieth century decor; friendly staff; great shower
Room was too hot with no opportunity to change temperature; bed was too small; room was a bit small too but we didn’t spend time in room so size of room didn’t bother us so much

Excellent Location!
The room did not have a windows, so the room felt very dark. There was a door to an elevator shaft which brought some light and also the scent of stale cigarette smoke when we entered our room

Beautiful hotel! Rooms were comfortable and beds were soft and dreamy!
The only complaint that I have is that the shower curtains are very thin cloth, and when you turn the shower on which has great water pressure by the way, it blows the curtains out in the water got all over the floor. They were very helpful in getting us extra towels and helping us clean it up. Just beware that you don’t turn the showerhead on full blast cause the curtains will go out of the bathtub.

Room was fairly spacious. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good in one respect, that it was very central and only 100 yards from La Rambla.
Shower in the room was a pain. It pointed at the screen and it leaked all over the floor. We had to use all the towels every day just to mop the floor. This was obviously not a new issue as the bottom of the bathroom door was warped and darkened from the water. Needs ripping out and replacing with a shower cubicle. Although the location was generally good, the taxi we prebooked from the airport via Bookings.Com was not allowed to drive down the narrow street in front of the hotel and dropped us off about 400m away. Not great at 8pm with some very dodgy looking people sleeping rough in the doorways. We booked a "room with a view" - well we could see outside, but I wouldn't call it a view.
