The location is brilliant, just off the top end of La Rambla, close to the cathedral and lots of great shops in the Gothic Quarter. The hotel is in a gorgeous 1920s building with a splendid foyer and sitting room. The barman in the attached bar and restaurant was super friendly. The room wasn't huge, but it had a great little balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was large and clean, with a good shower. Directly opposite the hotel was a great little bakery run by two very friendly sisters (didn't speak much English, but we managed to communicate okay), perfect for breakfast!
There was no fridge or kettle in the room, both of which would have been useful (although we were able to get hot water and cups from the bar downstairs).

The beautiful decor and location
The room was too warm with no way to turn down the heat. The thermostat seemed to not work. There were instant coffee singles in the room but no coffee mugs. You had to pay for coffee downstairs. The walls were very thin. You can hear everything in the halls. TV had no selection of channels.

For me the best asset of this Hotel is its location. Plus the decor has as special charm. Like it very much! Will probably return for a longer period. Love the City so much that a trip a year is a must!
The Bed sheets can be of a better quality. Also the pillows are a bid hard. Definitively can improve on these aspects.
