Nice staff, basic room amenities / features, perfectly located in order to reach everything within walking range or public transport.
Room amenities basic.
Toilet brush missing - a strange feature in many hotels in Spain - not even available on request at reception.
Shaving / cosmetic mirror missing.
Fridge / Minibar missing.
Safe very small, just sufficient for one guest with a standard laptop.
Shampoo / body wash dispensers missing in the shower.

Friendly, accommodating staff
Old, hard to access, no concierge, only have taxi’s by appointment, no bellman to handle luggage, no coffee in room, no restaurant other than breakfast, no cash on hand to break large currency.

Location, Location, Location!!!!! The location was really great!! We were going on foot to all main attractions in the city. I liked the architecture of the building from the early years of XX century. Just wonderful. The manager Mila was very helpful and really nice to talk to. The beads were very comfy, and we both slept very well.The room was cleaned every day which was nice. There are double glass windows so even if the street is noisy on Saturday evening you don't hear anything inside and can sleep calmly.
The stuff should pay attention to tea and coffee they leave in the room. They also should leave some coffee whitener to make morning coffee even better.

Quaint older hotel in wonderful location in Barcelona
They have half floors that the elevators do not go to. So is older ladies had to pull heavy suitcases up and down about 9stairs

Bed was super comfortable & large. House keeping service excellent. Rooms were kept very well every day. Room size was surprisingly large, plenty of space, High ceilings and lots of windows. Hotel location is fantastic, only steps from La Rambla / Gothic Quarter / Placa Catalunya / Bus to the airport. The Location does mean you are in the heart of the city though, so bring your earplugs if city noise such as local stores opening up & closing down/garbage collection bothers you. We definately recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.
Old building, is a little tired with some cracked floor tiles, but that's the only negative comment. It is very clean, and great value for money

Very clean. Kind, courteous and efficient reception staff. Lovely historic decor in the lobby. Very central in the heart of Barcelona.
