Location is very central. The room was very spacious and comfortable
The 'free' wifi was a disaster. If you going to offer something then make sure it works. Saying that it is free does not justify bad quality. I had mentioned in correspondence before I arrived that I required 'GOOD QUALITY' wifi as I needed to work and no mention was made of a 'better' paid service as an option nor when I complained to reception. Thankfully the restaurant next door had a fantastic service and they were extremely accommodating in allowing me to work.

The location is brilliant, just off the top end of La Rambla, close to the cathedral and lots of great shops in the Gothic Quarter. The hotel is in a gorgeous 1920s building with a splendid foyer and sitting room. The barman in the attached bar and restaurant was super friendly. The room wasn't huge, but it had a great little balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was large and clean, with a good shower. Directly opposite the hotel was a great little bakery run by two very friendly sisters (didn't speak much English, but we managed to communicate okay), perfect for breakfast!
There was no fridge or kettle in the room, both of which would have been useful (although we were able to get hot water and cups from the bar downstairs).

The beautiful decor and location
The room was too warm with no way to turn down the heat. The thermostat seemed to not work. There were instant coffee singles in the room but no coffee mugs. You had to pay for coffee downstairs. The walls were very thin. You can hear everything in the halls. TV had no selection of channels.
