Wonderful
Central location. Ambience. Good breakfast. Close to subway and Plaza Catalonya.

The location was good and the property has potential with the old look and feel. The interiors are unique to the antique feel of the neighborhood.
Comfort and amenities were poor. The hot water and air-conditioning went out for the last day and a half of our stay. And during that time the water was completely cut off for about 4 hours with no explanation. Temperature was extremely hot and humid in the room. Couldn't sleep for two of the nights because of that. We're were given no time estimate as to when it would be all fixed. Ac and hot water were still out when we checked out. There's also an alley next to the hotel that always had human waste, and smelled terrible.

The location is right in the middle of everything.
But that’s like every other big city and it’s really in the center. Barcelona is big but a lot was near by.
It’s in the middle of the stores.
The staff were really really nice, especially Enrique.
Two very good restaurants right in the street of the hotel.
The hotel is so so nice
At night it’s not that comfortable because of homeless people right below and in the street, very dirty and stinky as well.

Good breakfast.
1- the bathroom design had it so I could see everything from room. The frosted glass hid nothing.
2- power went out to elevator and A/C our last night there so our room was hot while trying to sleep. Had to carry luggage down several flight of stairs.
3- beds were small two singles. I was with my wife so was expecting at least a double so we could sleep together. Nope. Had to push the beds together to make one bed. I did ask for a double or a queen when I booked the hotel.

Wonderful
Beautiful and clean hotel for a price that was extremely affordable. Some rooms small but not a deal breaker and the amazing shower made up for it. Delicious breakfast available. Location is superb! The concierge that greeted us and stored our bags until check-in time was truly amazing. He was quick to offer his assistance to make sure we had our day planned out appropriately to see all that Barcelona has to offer.
The concierge/front desk clerk that initially greeted us couldn’t do enough to assist us to ensure a comfortable stay and a great time in Barcelona. He was one of the best and most professional concierges I have ever met. However , his replacement, an African American gentleman, was rude and nasty. At one point, he spontaneously expressed annoyance at the sound of my daughter’s shoes as we walked through the lobby. He is clearly in the wrong profession. He Is the sole reason we did not assign the highest score for the staff, but don’t let him stop you from staying here. Everyone else was wonderful.

The location is just great - just near the Plaça de Catalunya in the heart of Barcelona. Minutes from Gothic quarters, 30min to Sagrada, 10min to famous Casas etc. The Triple room was spacious, air-conditioned, well-equipped. Good buffet-style breakfast available for a small surcharge (esp. if you come early). Great value overall!
Air fragrance in the lobby! OMG, I feel bad for the staff working there. The aerosol is continuously dispensing 24/7. I get it, nice smell etc. but I think its an overkill. We had to breath-in / breath-out while walking through that small lobby. I hope the management will reconsider this, it does not feel healthy, neither for staff, nor for the guests.

The staff was very helpful in answering questions, arranging for taxi to the airport and recommending a close and very good restaurant.
It is quite a walk from where the bus from the airport leaves one off, so getting to it on our 1st attempt required asking several folks for it's location and then finally arriving there with our luggage in spite of a bad knee that made the walk more difficult.

The location was fabulous! Close to everything and extremely walkable. The hotel is lovely. The staff was very helpful. My room was very small, but clean and comfortable. The only negative was that my shower water temperature was barely warm in the morning. However, I'd stay again.
Water wasn't hot in the morning for my shower.

Location, size of the room and the charm of this older hotel which prefer because it has character. Breakfast was lovely at the restaurant and also enjoyed the food for lunch. Enchanting overall. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would happily return

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 6 days (from June 6 to June 12), and we found that one of male staff in the front desk was very rude with guests and he should be fired based on the norm of industrial standard. In addition, the hotel does not provide a kettle for guests to boil water for tea in each room. During these 6 days, the hotel's hot and cold water dispenser was out of order for last 4 days of our stay. (The only dispenser in the hotel was not repaired at the time when we checked-out in the morning of June 12). We reported this problem to the male staff at the front desk and this male staff was rude in dealing with us for this issue.
Each room should have a kettle for guests to make teas. The hotel should provide two bottles of drinking waters in each room each day.

Wonderful
Nice hotel, enjoyed the front sitting room for gathering with friends. Liked the connected restaurant, made it convenient for meals, especially the breakfast buffet offered. It was nice with good selection/variety of foods. We had lunch there which was nice also. Enjoyed the large spacious bathroom area and liked the ledge which held a lot of toiletries/makeup.
Didn't want or need the bidet, just took up space in the large bathroom.

Loved the location close to La Rambla. The breakfast was very good with great selection of food.
The elevator is small and slow. There is nobody available to assist with baggage or explain room services. I would have like a little more service in explains the services available.
