I understand that the dimly lit rooms and bathrooms are part of the hotel's brand and image, but I would have preferred more lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom

Location, staff, clean, comfortable and everything!
I was at floor 2 and I could feel the metro underneath every time it passed. I don’t mind, but if it disturbs you then take a higher floor or something.

Loved the location, close to public transport links, las ramblas and lots of attractions. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Hotel was super clean.

Such a cozy and comfortable hotel! The staff was helpful, and the rooms were lovely and clean. We had a great night's sleep because the beds were super comfy. Breakfast was also delicious! The location is just perfect. I truly recommend staying here!

Great location, room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and welcoming on reception. Didn’t have breakfast. Would have been nice to have a hotel bar to visit but we went out of season so apart from the room, reception and lifts we didn’t see much. Enjoyed Barcelona overall, great city and would stay here again. A good base to travel around from Placa Catalunya and 5 minutes to La Ramblas. It was my partners 40th birthday, I did mention it in the comments - I had no expectation of anything extra but maybe a card/ some kind of small complimentary item would have been the difference in a hotel that goes that extra mile and that’s where I would have given it 10/10. Thanks!

Great location—very convenient for sightseeing and getting to the beach. The staff were warm and helpful, and they fixed a small noise issue in my room right away.
The only minor issue was the low water pressure.

Location is superb! The room is big and very nice. Breakfast lovely.
You have to use room key in the elevator so be sure to take enough keys, otherwise use the stairs. :)

The only positive aspect was the location, which is very convenient, and we were allowed to check in earlier than the official time, which we appreciated.
However, there were many serious issues. The room windows faced other windows, so it was very dark and we couldn’t open the curtains without losing privacy. There is a metro running under the hotel all day, which causes constant noise and vibration. The bed was extremely uncomfortable – even though we booked a double room, it was just two single beds pushed together that kept sliding apart with the slightest movement. The pillows and duvets were terrible, and the bedding didn’t even have proper covers, just two separate pieces of fabric that kept falling off.
The staff (especially the women at reception) were very unprofessional. We were charged €30 extra and blamed for it, with staff saying it was Booking’s mistake. We travel often and have never experienced anything like this before. They refused to refund the money and said it was not their problem. The room itself was damaged and stained. On top of that, cleaning staff were shouting from 6 a.m., and someone started drilling early in the morning, with no respect for guests’ rest.
