It was a beautiful old building with architectural details in the heart of the old city, easy to walk.
Only taxis were allowed on the streets, our tour operator had to walk in and walk us out many blocks.
The breakfasts are too expensive.

We pre-booked our room. The room was clean but somewhat small in size. The rooftop deck was great, and breakfast on site was very good, albeit expensive, $25E. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the main boulevard in Barcelona, close to Metro too. The room was missing extra towels, we had only one, and there was no tissues in the room. We were able to get these.

The hotel is beautiful and the location was perfect! We were able to walk or catch the train to any location we wanted. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They helped with all of our requests and made sure we had everything we needed.
The room is on the smaller side so it felt a little tight. As for the current remodeling, some of the work being done was very loud so it was hard to relax in the room.

Location was excellent. The hotel was nice. An unusual layout but attractive. The rooms were very small with no room to open a suitcase.
Our trip went well until departure. We had a taxi of 7 booked for our ride to the port for our cruise. The taxi arrived late and was a small car, not the 7 passenger one we arranged. Long story short, we ended up waiting another hour and ended up having to drag our heavy cases up a cobbled street to the main road in search of a taxi. The worst part, I asked the hotel to call another taxi company but they only seemed annoyed and tended to other guests. Their customer service later commented that the city was busy that day but that in no way explains the treatment we received from the staff which was downright disgusting. It was a real shame because our stay was enjoyable. We were late for our cruise slot.

Wonderful
I loved the ambiance of the hotel and it's historic significance. I didn't realize it had been designed by a very famous architect. Also I love how close it was to the Boqueria market. We went there almost every day.
It would be nice if the bar was open at more expanded times.

Room was a bit small, the ac didnt work, our view was of the bad parts of Ramblas and had to keep our curtain closed the entire time

Very Poor
I am not someone who writes mean or poor reviews, but this was truly gross. Bed looked like it was full of bed bugs. There was mold on the pillow cases. The water from the shower spilled all over the bathroom floor. I asked for more pillows and they said there were none left. Everything just felt dirty and not clean. I asked to put my bag in storage due to the early check in, when I returned it took 30 minutes for them to locate the key for the storage area.
