Wonderful
Wonderful staff,great facilities and food and drink 24hr. Location excellent! Comfortable bed and room and great shower. Extras- fridge in room,safe,light switch board,fan/heater and blind.
Room could maybe do with an iron and we had to wait an extra 30-40mins to get into our room.

Location was superb - a short walk to many on my itinerary. Also Bus stops/Metro line stations all within a couple of minutes walk for those sights a bit further out.. Hotel was lovely, cleaned every day, a nice free breakfast buffet, and the staff (24/7 reception) were so helpful and knowledgeable about the city, attractions and how to get there. Viv, who usually works afternoons/evenings, was a massive help with every little trip I wanted to make, and also recommend restaurants nearby. If I go back to this beautiful city it'll be the Hotel Continental again, without a doubt

Location..
Staff is very kind and professional.
Room is very small, you hear everything from the other rooms, some annoying noises all the time at night.. it’s very old..

Lack of security in accessing building specially at night, did not feel safe, same snack food choices in 24 hour buffet, orange juice only available for breakfast, elevated bed too high and not safe, Las Ramblas was under construction during our visit and noise in early hours of the morning including underground train - lack of noise barrier

I liked the location and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. It was great to have drinks available 24/7.
Our room was tiny and internal so very claustrophobic and too hot. It was also noisy. There wasn't a great selection of food for breakfast. The patio was nice but there was a high-pitched noise all the time which made it difficult to sit outside.

The staff were very friendly & helpful. The buffet & availability of hot drinks throughout the day was a bonus
The only thing was my bedroom was adjacent to the dining area (room 144 I think) so you could hear the diners in the morning having breakfast. I found it a little strange at first but I soon got used to it and it certainly didn't spoil my stay

This is a gem on La Rambla. Besides being conveniently located just off Placa Catalunya and walkable to Gaudi Casas, the waterfront, museums and restaurants - the hotel staff is simply amazing, taking care of each request with understanding and maturity. It is a well preserved hotel and the set up is itself a pleasant experience. And there is always something to eat, no matter the time! Drinks include a variety of options, hot and cold. On the day it rained this hotel offered umbrellas for us to take all day. I would definitely return to this wonderful base from which to explore the beautiful city of Barcelona. Local taxis are available "round the corner" on Placa Catalunya as are buses while the hotel cheerfully books airport taxis!
