We've got what we expected in general. The location is really an asset. Located in the central part of town, easily accessible. The room was clean and contained basics one would need during stay. If you need something else, the staff will probably find a way to help.
All day buffet is a great concept. And I see other guests liking it too. The selection of prepared food (warm dishes) could be improved for people not eating pork and byproducts or vegetarians. Vegy soup would be great idea for example or steamed vegies, hummus, etc. Also, cheese spreads and the like could be an asset.

Beautiful hotel with historic décor, exceptionally attentive staff, and spacious, spotless rooms and bathrooms. Perfectly located right on La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya — ideal for short stays. The 24-hour complimentary snack buffet is a great bonus and can easily serve as a light lunch or dinner if you’re not looking for anything fancy.
This hotel tries to look luxurious inside, but it comes with all the inconveniences of a hostel. My room faced an interior courtyard with small windows that barely let in any natural light. The reception and restaurant are on the first floor, while the rooms are on the second and third — meaning every time you want to go for a drink or reach the reception area, you have to go down the main stairs and wait for the staff to unlock the doors to get back in. Also, the subway runs right underneath, so if you’re sensitive to noise, this might not be the best choice.

Location was perfect but breakfast wished a lot to be desired
The appearance of the reception area looks dirty and unclean. The same goes for breakfast area inside and outside.

Location was great.
Room very small 2 draws and half a small wardrobe. The shower was comfortable but there was virtually no room to put anything on the vanity. The public areas are in need of a make over, it is very tired and shaby. Although breakfast is provided you have to serve yourself and clean up up your own dishes. Our room was only serviced once in our 4 night stay. The downstairs entrance needs a big upgrade as it is like walking into an old office building.

Our room location was unusual which was off the dining room. The noise from La Rambla was noisy during the night as we had a front room facing la rambla.
