The room was spacious and the balcony was amazing 24 hour coffee soft drinks juice and beer (on tap and good). Food is also good and varies by time of day. Stored our bags until the room was ready and had them in the room when we returned. Very well located to Gothic area with lots to see and restaurants and shopping and close to metro and taxi stand. Great security as well. Will be back

Beautiful hotel with historic décor, exceptionally attentive staff, and spacious, spotless rooms and bathrooms. Perfectly located right on La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya — ideal for short stays. The 24-hour complimentary snack buffet is a great bonus and can easily serve as a light lunch or dinner if you’re not looking for anything fancy.
This hotel tries to look luxurious inside, but it comes with all the inconveniences of a hostel. My room faced an interior courtyard with small windows that barely let in any natural light. The reception and restaurant are on the first floor, while the rooms are on the second and third — meaning every time you want to go for a drink or reach the reception area, you have to go down the main stairs and wait for the staff to unlock the doors to get back in. Also, the subway runs right underneath, so if you’re sensitive to noise, this might not be the best choice.

The staff was fantastic. Housekeeping excellent. Location perfect. I accidentally left some Montserrat cheese in the refrigerator and housekeeping held it for 10 days until my return.So grateful to the entire staff.

The beds were comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
The common area outside our room had an unpleasant odor. Smelled like old carpet and old cleaning chemicals. I was uncomfortable with having to request that the exits be unlocked before we could exit our floor.

The location
❌❌❌DON’T GO THERE❌❌❌ •It’s such a gloomy, smelly, old, out fashioned, disgusting place that can not even be called a motel. •It’s horribly over priced. The pictures of the place are all enhanced & so misleading. • The garbage bags were next to the buffet with all the content visible. •The vacuum cleaner has been left out in front of the buffet. The buffet us right next to the reception separated by a partition or thin wall. •The food is awful. •The entrance and the elevator is frightening and dark. •The room we stayed in didn’t even have a Window, it looked like a prison cell. •The so called “buffet” is self service and you don’t even get to have a big plate for your meals. •The pastry were all stale and old. •The carpet in the room smelled so bad that made me think it has’t been cleaned for ages. •The air conditioning was so noisy that gives you troubles to sleep at night.
