Hotel Brummell is a 20-room boutique hotel located a few steps from the Miró Foundation and The Grec theater. Guests will benefit from free and unlimited yoga classes. A running club, for both guests and locals, is organized regularly. The hotel features an outdoor pool, a garden and a sauna. T-training and boxing session are hosted at the well-being center The Loft. All rooms boast modern furniture and artwork by young European designers. Each one is equipped with a safe, coffee and tea facilities and a yoga mat. The private bathroom has a rain shower, a high-powered hairdryer and free toiletries by MMLL. Suites have a private, furnished terrace with an outdoor bath. Mornings begin at Austrian-inspired Café Schallert, our in-house cafe with soul. Enjoy a breakfast buffet served at your table featuring an array of freshly-baked breads and croissants, Mediterranean delicacies such as cheeses and cold cuts and eggs cooked to order. Vegan-friendly and gluten-free options are also available, alongside specialty coffee from Three Marks Coffee. Hotel Brummell is just a 15-minute walk from La Rambla and the closest metro station is Parallel Metro Station, 820 ft away. For guests who wish to explore the sights of Barcelona, Montjuïc is known for its parks and gardens and is within 10 minutes' walk. There is free WiFi available throughout.

My wife and I visit Barcelona once or twice a year, usually around FC Barcelona matches, and this time we wanted something different from the more touristy areas where we had stayed before. Hotel Brummell was exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood felt much more local, authentic, and enjoyable than some of the busier tourist districts, while still being very well connected to the rest of the city. The hotel itself has fantastic design and a very relaxed atmosphere. We extended our stay for the entire week and worked remotely from Barcelona, so having comfortable shared spaces and a welcoming environment was important to us. The pool area was beautiful and became one of our favorite places to spend time, even if the weather was a little cool during our visit. What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in making sure guests had a great experience. They not only explained the hotel but also shared recommendations about the neighborhood and offered assistance with transportation and reservations. The café downstairs was another highlight, serving excellent coffee and a great mix of local and international breakfast options. The pa amb tomàquet was delicious, and the filter coffee was among the best we had during our stay.
The only real downside was the price. While we understand that design-focused boutique hotels come at a premium, we felt the rate was slightly higher than ideal for a week-long stay. A somewhat lower price point would make it even more attractive for travelers looking to spend several days in Barcelona rather than just a short weekend. As remote workers, we would also love to see a few more work-friendly features. The Wi-Fi was generally reliable enough for everyday work, but dedicated workspaces, additional power outlets in common areas, or a couple of private booths for video calls would make the hotel even better for guests combining travel and work.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect. Spacious and comfortable room, great breakfast, location, lovely (small) pool area and truly friendly and helpful staff. Wil definitely stay here again when visiting Barcelona.

Quiet, great neighborhood bars/restaurants near by, Montjuic very close to hike to.
It seemed overpriced for very small room, no breakfast or coffee included, the atmosphere was clean but not necessarily aesthetically appealing but that is subjective!
